2019: Labour Party Pledges 16m Votes For PMB - Politics -

The Labour Party (LP) has pledged to deliver 16 million votes for President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 presidential elections

The National Chairman of the Party, Dr Mike Omotosho gave the assurance
on Thursday in Ilorin at a public lecture and inauguration of Wards and Local Governments canvassers for re-election bid of Buhari and his Vice, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.

The event organised by the Buhari/Osinbajo 2019 Project was attended by the Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture and the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara.

Omotosho, in a goodwill message at the event, said the labour party will support the re-election bid of Buhari and will mobilise vote for him.

He said his party will also work with the APC to liberate Kwara from misrule by a clique led by one man.

Omotosho charged the people of Kwara, to take the opportunity of the political development in the country to free themselves from slavery and oppression.

Speaking in the same vein, the Chairman of APC caretaker committee in Kwara. Bashir Bolarinwa said President Buhari should be given a chance to continue with his agenda of liberating the country from poverty and treasury looting.

He said Nigerians should not allow a repeat of 1985 history when Buhari regime of discipline and prudence was ousted to pave way for corruption and retrogression.

Otunba Gani Zubair, the coordinator of Buhari/Osinbajo 2019 Project, said the group was formed because of the dysfunction within APC orchestrated by the defection in the National Assembly.

He said the objective of the movement, among others, is to counter all forces against the President and mobilise the people for his re-election.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports the the Information minister inaugurated the volunteers and charged them to sensitise the grassroots to the achievements of the Buhari’s administration.

Mr Festus Keyamo (SAN) human rights lawyer and the Director Media, Buhari Campaign Organisation delivered the lecture on the theme: “Milestones of Sustainable Economic and Social Political Development in Nigeria”. (NAN)

How To Handle Work Stress In Nigeria - Career -

WORK STRESS IN NIGERIA
THIS IS HOW TO HANDLE WORK STRESS IN NIGERIA

In Nigeria, getting a good job is hard work, but so is maintaining your sanity when you do get one. Many employees are under constant work stress. According to a study by the APA (American Psychological Association), when work stress continues over a long period of time, it can become chronic stress. Chronic stress can in turn develop into life-threatening diseases. Yes, stress can be that serious. See the need for this article now?

First, it is important to know your stressor(s).

COMMON WORK STRESSORS

Excessive workload
Vague work goals and expectations
Low Salary and Work Benefits
Job insecurity
Toxic work relationships and so on.

EFFECTS OF STRESS

Stress can cause illnesses such as high blood pressure, insomnia, obesity, depression, and so on.
Stress can reduce work performance.
It can affect relations with family, friends and co-workers.

STEPS TO HANDLING WORK STRESS

Clarify and track Work goals (Set Work Goals, Crush, Track, Crush, repeat.)
Now this is important. The first step to a better work performance is outlining your work goals. No matter how much you work, there really is no way to measure how well you have done if you do not have outlined work goals. Seems simple enough but many people remain dissatisfied, and cannot pinpoint the cause of their dissatisfaction because they do not have clarified work goals.

Start your week with clear goals, with clear numbers. Example: I must increase my company’s follower base by 60 unique visitors. Clear enough?

Start your day right

You have to start your day on a good note, my friend. Many people start their days, feeling already drained. This is counter-productive. Edit your morning routine to make you as effective as possible. I recommend taking a healthy breakfast, exercising, and planning before you start working. These help to keep your mind clear and goal-oriented.

Sleep Well

How much sleep are you getting? Sleep is an important factor in easing stress. Find time to sleep. Usually, you have to rank it as an important activity of the day. When you prioritize giving yourself the necessary hours of sleep, you would most likely have to edit other parts of your day to accommodate this. Bad sleeping habits will get you feeling stressed right from the first hour of the day.

Utilize your Break Time

During your break, purposefully take your mind off work. You can listen to music, you can take a stroll. Help yourself relax, it is helpful.

Seek Professional Help

So, this is 2018, and this is not yet popular among professionals in Nigeria. Yet it can be quite helpful. If your work stress persists, it is helpful to consult a mental health professional. It will help you to stay healthy and keep stress-related diseases at bay.

In all, HR managers and employers need to do more to promote a healthy workplace. A good reward system and work recreational schemes can help to reduce work stress a great deal.

Rats, Mosquitoes Or Bed Bugs: Which Is The Most Annoying To Have In The Room? - Health -

dominique, Sissy3

Especially Lagos rats, they are annoyingly big and disgusting. If one mistakenly enters your room, just get ready to be terrorized.

Their movement in the house alone can give you sleepless nights. If they enter your Kitchen, just wave bye-bye to your meats and other food stuffs.

Funny enough, rats don’t enter trap again, most of them are now smart enough to recognize trap.

They don’t fall into it again, you can only get them if you can go in physical battle with them with the right weapon, not broom oo.

Mosquitoes

Mosquitoes have been terrorizing Nigerians since 1914. The way they suck blood ehn, they can suck out somebody’s Glory.

It’s being said that only 4 Lagos Mosquitoes can lift up a whole human being from bed .

It’s even good when mosquitoes just suck blood and go away but they can’t do without singing to someone’s ear just to make sure you don’t have sound sleep.

Bed Bugs

In my place we call them, Uncle “Idun”. Only one bed bug can build an empire in your room. Their mission is to suck blood and nothing more.

They hide between beds or in any available hole in the room. Once you sleep, they storm your bed to suck your blood.

If they are not satisfied with the blood they sucked all through the night, they can follow you to work, hiding inside your cloth or in your bag and it can be very embarrassing when someone else spot it on your body in public.

You don cast be that

It’s certain that no one will desire any of the above creations in the room. The question still remains

Among Mosquitoes, Rats Or Bed Bugs, Which Is The Most Annoying To Have In The Room?
