Sarri Reveals New Role For Victor Moses: He's To Compete For Spot With Hazard - Sports -

Knificent.blogspot.com .
Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has revealed the new role for Victor Moses. The Chelsea player who retired from the Super Eagle's last 2 weeks, has featured 11 minutes for the Blues in the current league season.

It will be recalled that the former Nigeria international played in the wing-back role for Chelsea under Antonio Conte era. The Nigerian played a crucial role in the Antonio Conte's league surge of 2017 and FA Cup triumph of 2018.

Maurizio Sarri who deploys a tactical approach of 4-3-3 has reportedly decided on fielding the former Wigan athletic attacker, in the right wing of attack. Sarri however has stated that the Moses must improve if he is to get his chance at Chelsea considering the huge competition the Nigerian faces at the club.

This would mean that the Nigerian will have to compete for spot with Blues playmaker Eden Hazard, Brazilian William and former Barcelona attacker Pedro.
Chelsea meanwhile continues to justify their credential for the Premier League with a 4 consecutive victories.

The Blues have edged Brighton, Arsenal, Newcastle and Bournemouth in their quest for the Premier League and will stay in their position till after the international break.

Two Lesbians Caned In Public In Malaysia For Engaging In Sex - Crime -

Knificent.blogspot.com .
Two lesbians caned in public for engaging in lesbian sex in a car were in Malaysia, have also been finned by a court on Monday.

The lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community is routinely persecuted in Muslim-majority Malaysia, where they are seen as a threat to conservative values.

The women, aged 32 and 22, had pleaded guilty in August to attempting lesbian sex, forbidden under Islamic law.

They were sentenced to a fine and six lashings of the cane.

The sentence was carried out in front of about 100 people at the Sharia High Court in Terengganu, a conservative state ruled by the Islamist opposition party Pan-Malaysian Islamist Party, according to a report by English-language daily the New Straits Times.

It was the first conviction for same-sex relations and the first time a caning had been carried out in public in the state, Satiful Mamat, a member of the Terengganu state executive council told Reuters.

“Sharia criminal procedure allows the court to determine where the sentence will be carried out and requires that it must be witnessed by a number of other Muslims,” said Satiful, who attended the hearing.

Satiful said the punishment was “not intended to torture or injure”.

“The reason it is carried out in public is for it to serve as a lesson to society,” he said.

Malaysia has a dual-track legal system, with Islamic criminal and family laws applicable to Muslims running alongside civil laws.

The caning of women is banned under civil law but allowed under Islamic laws in some states.

Amnesty International said the caning marked “an appalling day” for human rights in Malaysia.

“To inflict this brutal punishment on two people for attempting to engage in consensual, same-sex relations is an atrocious setback on the government’s efforts to improve its human rights records,” Rachel Chhoa-Howard, the group’s Malaysia researcher, said.

Malaysian women’s groups, Justice for Sisters and Sisters in Islam called for a review of laws that allowed the caning of women.

“The execution that took place… is a travesty and a grave miscarriage of justice,” the groups said.

The case comes amid concerns around growing intolerance toward the LGBT community in Malaysia in recent weeks.

A transgender woman was beaten up by a group of assailants in Seremban, south of Kuala Lumpur on August 15, in what activists said was part of a growing hostility towards gay and transgender people.

How to get a job requiring years of experience with just NYSC experience - Jobs/Vacancies -

Knificent.blogspot.com
I was privileged to interview about about 15 applicants with 1 - 6 years post NYSC experience for a role. My take away include:

Years of experience is just a number - out of the applicants, the applicant with 1 year experience was better exposed, sound and suitable because he had worked with companies that had exposed him to several scenarios than entities that just pay you salaries for warming the chairs. I can tell if you are speaking based on book knowledge or experience and exposure.

Disregard the high unemployment rate, with time you can get your dream job without a godfather - the employment rate in Nigeria is still very high but the competition is extremely low. If you are truly sound, you will get that job as over 90% of applicants are jokers and uncompetitive; they are graduates but not for this jet-age.

When you go for an interview and meet people with Stanford degrees, don't hide and disqualify yourself even if all you got is a HND - majority of the applicants cannot defend their certificates. Be hungry, be ambitious and seek for knowledge. Your dream for a dream job is valid, you can achieve it if you distinguish yourself.

If you want to practice in a regulated field e.g Accounting, HR, Law et al, seek professional qualification before running off to bag an MBA/MSC - I interviewed for a finance role and one key learning points that was visible to the blind and audible to deaf was that applicants who were not even chartered accountants but had only passed a stage of ICAN examinations spoke like professionals and gave reasonable assumptions to practical questions. They could to an extent think out financial ideas and solutions.

During internships and post NYSC, don't settle for the pay cheque, settle for the experience and exposure - majority of the applicants had years of experience without real experience in the years. First hustle for experience and exposure (2Es), money will come knocking when you are fully loaded with the 2Es.

Spend more time learning soft skills and less time with snapchat filters, whatsapp updates - no matter your field, learn how to use Microsoft office's Word, PowerPoint and Excel. You don't have to be an expert, learn beyond the basics. For financial enthusiasts, learn beyond Excel's SUM function, know how to use Pivot table at least.

In conclusion, applicants should learn to own the interview session; speak like you are gisting with your mom, dad, pastor and not a "god". Be lively, laugh (it makes you human). I used to be an introvert but in interviews, I take charge as the applicant; I laugh. I remember tears "loading" in my eyes a few yearsago before a panel of an oil and gas company when they told me I was the best so far but overqualified for the role (who overqualication help Sir? Mr. Panelist, give me this mountain [job]). They gave me a referral to another company but I don't just apply to any company.

It is your stage not the panelist's, don't just perform like most musical artists, entertain, be hungry, be ambitious. You can land that dream job.
