However, in 1990, Mahbub ul Haq and Amartya Sen developed a new methodology for measuring the quality of life in a country. Unlike other metrics, Human Development Index (HDI) considers critical factors such as the likelihood of:

1. South Africa
South Africa is the most developed country in Africa as of 2018.

The country is located at the southernmost tip of Africa. Its economy which is said to the second largest in Africa after Nigeria is supported by the agricultural sector, industry sector and tertiary services sector, the latter being the main contributor.
The average South African should go through 13 years of schooling and is expected to die at 53.4 years of age. The GNP per capita is US$9,594.

The economy of Tunisia depends on the manufacturing, services, tourism and mining sector with the services sector contributing the most to the GDP. It has reached lower middle income status according to the World Bank, with its abundant supply of natural resources, well-developed financial, legal, communications, transport sectors and stock exchange (the Nigerian Stock Exchange), which is the second largest in Africa.

Nigeria was ranked 21st in the world in terms of GDP (PPP) in 2015.

he Best Graduating Student of the Department of Mass Communication, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), formerly Anambra State University, Best Somadina Nwabuwa has been celebrated for his exceptional feat.

Nwabuwa was given award by an online news platform, massmediang to celebrate his achievement.
He was given an undisclosed sum of money, a live chicken and yam tuber by the news platform, an organisaton known for celebrating excellence in communication education using agricultural products.
The presentation was made today, at the Francis Oladele stand, at the Igbariam campus of the institution.

In his reaction, Nwabuwa thanked massmediang for the honour, adding that it was not about the cash or agricultural products but the recognition which is an encouragement to younger students.

Also speaking, one of the coordinators of the award, Chuks Obi, said the idea was to remind graduates that nomatter the course you studied, you should have an eye on agriculture because it is a fruitful venture that would keep you independent and prosperous.
