A lady has shared a shocking reply she got when she asked her debtor to pay her back the money she owes her.

Nigerian writer, Eketi narrated the incident on Twitter, writing: 

I'll never forget one debtor. When I asked for my money for like the 3rd time, she said, "You're like No. 7 on my list. If you're disturbing me like this for common 50k, what do you expect the one who's No. 1 to do? Ehn?" I was so shook, I forgot how to cry or be angry.

Freeze has weighed in on the controversial photo of Beverly Osu wearing a religious habit and smoking cigarette at the same time. He also used the opportunity to criticize men of God who collect tithe from poor people.

In a video shared online, the OAP says he sees nothing wrong with Beverly's photo. He added that the problem with Christianity isn't with the people who brought it to us but the people it was handed over to because it is now being abused.

Sharing the video, he wrote:

Whoever tuned our moral compass in this country did a terrible job.

This Beverly Osu picture really got me thinking.

We are so visual in this part of the world that we seem to worry more about the branding and image of Christianity than its essence.

Nigeria, recalibrate your moral compass! If you think a pastor in the poverty capital of the world owning a private jet is morally right, while Beverly Osu smoking a cigarette with a rosary in her hand is wrong then you have a huuuuge problem.

In another post, he shared a photo of Beverly in the Catholic nuns gear with a rosary in one hand and cigarette in the other. A puff of smoke billows out of her mouth as she stares into space.

Though some people called out Beverly for abusing the religious wear, Freeze didn't agree that she did anything wrong and he wrote:

Was this attire invented by Jesus and his disciples or by religion?

If it was invented by Jesus, then I have a huge problem with it.

However, if it was invented by religion then I don’t understand what the fuss is..... Maybe someone should educate me.

By the way, I know a lot of nuns and priests who smoke.

Nigerian lady narrates how she met her American husband on Facebook

A Nigerian lady said she met her American husband 4 years ago on Facebook when she was only 17 and they got married 2 years ago.

Debbie, who now has a 1-year-old daughter with her American husband, said she met him on Facebook in 2014. She was 17 and he was 22. Her intention at the time was just to get her hands on his money, but they began chatting and fell in love. 

She was a student of Tai Solarin University of Education, TASUED, Ijebu Ode, Ogun state at the time and after chatting for 8 months, he came to Nigeria to see her in Ijebu Ode, in 2015. He returned to Ijebu Ode two more times after that, then helped her apply for a USA visa. Her visa application eventually got approved and, in 2016, she travelled to join him in the US.

They got married that same year and now have a 1-year-old daughter.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has declared four Rivers state government officials wanted.

A statement from the anti-graft agency, states that the four officials identified as Fubara Siminayi, Harrisonba Bessi Princewill, Lekia V. Bukpor and Dagogo Rodderick Abere

The public is hereby notified that the persons whose photographs appear in this alert, are wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Fubara Siminayi, Harrisonba Bessi Princewill, Lekia V. Bukpor and Dagogo Rodderick Abere, officials of the Rivers State Government, are wanted in a case of criminal conspiracy, money laundering, misappropriation of public funds and abuse of office to the tune of N117billion (One hundred and seventeen billion naira). .

The suspects, in their capacity as signatories to the Rivers State Government account, are alleged to have acted as proxies to several government officials and conspired, fraudulently withdrew and diverted the sum between 2015 and 2018. .

Fubara, Director of Finance of the Rivers State Government, is 43 years old and dark in complexion. His last known address is No. 12 Endless Street, Elitor Woji Town, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. .

Harrisonba, a cashier, is 58 years old and dark in complexion. Her last known address is No. 34 Post Office Road, Woji, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. .
.
Lekia is 61 years old and dark in complexion. His last known address is Ministry of Finance, Block C, 1st Floor, Rivers State Secretariat Complex, Port Harcourt. .

Dagogo is 58 years old and dark in complexion. His last known address is Ministry of Finance, Block C, 1st Floor, Rivers State Secretariat Complex, Port Harcourt.
The suspects hail from Rivers State.

Genevieve Nnaji gets interviewed by CNN after her movie 'Lion Heart' makes history (video)

Genevieve Nnaji has been interviewed by CNN's Richard Quest after her first movie as a director was bought by Netflix, making it the very first original Nigerian movie to be acquired by the movie sharing platform.

Lion Heart is Genevieve Nnaji's directorial debut. It features popular actors like Nkem Owoh, Pete Edochie, Onyeka Onwenu, Kanayo O Kanayo, among others. The actress wrapped up filming of the movie on May 10, 2017 and it premiered this September at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival.

A day before the premiere, Netflix announced a deal to acquire the movie. This makes Lion Heart the first original film from Nigeria to be owned by Netflix. 

Genevieve Nnaji was a guest on Richard Quest's show on CNN on Tuesday, September 11, where she discussed her movie specifically and Nollywood generally. She said she sees Nollywood gaining global acceptance in the nearest future but the only barrier she foresees is the language.
