BREAKING: Senate Approves N234.51bn For INEC - Politics -

The Senate has approved N234.51 billion for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The approved sum is about N7.9 billion less than the N242.45 billion requested by President Buhari.

The Senate also approved that the total sum of N189 billion which will be for the funding of the 2019 elections be moved from both recurrent and capital components of the special intervention programme.

A man has been arrested and charged in the abduction and sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl while she was walking to school.
The 11-year-old girl was walking to school alone on the morning of Tuesday, September 9 when a man approached her on Essex Road in Woodbridge. The attacker grabbed her and implied that he had a weapon.

A Peruvian man has divorced his wife after spotting her cheating with another man on Google Street View in Peru.

According to the man, he was trying to plan the best way to complete his journey to get a popular bridge in Lima, when he spotted someone who looked familiar, sitting on a bench and a man with his head in her lap. .

And although Google Street View blurred her face, he was able to recognize her as his wife. Despite the photo dating back to 2013, he confronted his wife over her past infidelity and they later divorced after she admitted.

A keke driver has gone viral after one of his passengers shared his experience while riding in his tricycle.
Chena took to Twitter to share photos of Samuela Ogundare, a keke driver, at work in Lagos. 
Samuel is no ordinary keke driver. He has distinguished himself by calling himself a "corporate keke driver" and he isn't that in name alone.
Samuel dresses in corporate attire, not minding the nature of his job, and drives with consideration for his passengers and other road users. He has a jar of sweets attached to a makeshift holder for his passengers. He also has business cards in his tricycle for passengers who might want his service in the future.
