(CNN)- The flying motorbike is back in Dubai


A year after California-based startup Hoversurf showcased its hoverbike at tech expo GITEX in the white and green livery of the Dubai Police, the company has returned with a new model and evidence its electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicle might be, well, taking off.

Making good on a deal signed in 2017, Hoversurf has now gifted Dubai Police its first serial production unit of the S3 2019 Hoverbike and has begun training officers to fly it.

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Area II Command, Onne Port, has intercepted a 40 feet container laden with 600 pairs of military camouflage uniforms, 600 pairs of military caps and 600 pairs of military jungle boots.

These items and other contraband seized have Duty Paid Value (DPV) of N543.95 million. The military hard wares were concealed with 80 rolls of water hose, 10 cartons of singlet, 50 cartons of shoes, 207 cartons of tiles, 15 bales of socks, five sacks of ladies’ skirts and other items with DPV of N4.68 million.

The Benue State Police Command has reportedly arrested a suspected cultist over the murder of one Oketa Simon, a 300 level Mass Communication undergraduate of Benue State University.

Simon, also a suspected cultist, was shot dead on the 6th of November, 2018, in a farm opposite Rahama Clinic Logo II Makurdi. The Police arrested 18-year-old Samuel Ochoechi, a non student linked to the crime.

Hospital Attendant And Herbalist Arrested For Stealing Baby’s Placenta In Kwara - Crime -


A hospital attendant, Fatima Suleiman, and a herbalist, Salaudeen Ibrahim, have been arrested for stealing a new born baby’s placenta on October 31, 2018, at Capstone Hospital, Ilorin, Kwara State.

The state Police Commissioner, Kofowora Bolaji, said “upon successful surgery, the doctor handed over the placenta to Fatima to give to the father of the baby, but she instead sold it to Alfa Salaudeen Ibrahim to use for charm.”
