Man who played Santa at Walmart is arrested after bodies of his two kids are found buried in his backyard

A man who was employed to play Santa at a Walmart in Georgia has been arrested and charged with the deaths of his two kids after their bodies were found buried in his backyard.

Elwyn Crocker Sr., 50, was arrested after sheriff's deputies went to his house in Guyton, Georgia, to conduct a welfare check on his 14-year-old daughter, Mary Crocker, authorities said.

Effingham County Sheriff Jimmy McDuffie said his office received a 911 tip from a caller that Mary Crocker hadn't been seen since October and that the tipster feared she was dead.

But Elwyn Crocker has not reported any of his children missing. So, authorities went to his house and questioned him. After the questioning, he allegedly directed deputies to an area of his backyard, where they unearthed the bodies of Mary and her brother, Elwyn Crocker Jr near a wooded area on the property on Thursday morning.

Jimmy McDuffie said deputies went to Crocker's home on Rosebud Place in Guyton around 10 p.m. on Dec. 19 to investigate Mary Crocker's whereabouts.

He added:

Deputies questioned all the adult members in the house. They claimed that Mary was out of town with her mother. Deputies then determined that this was false information.

Information from Elwyn Crocker led investigators to search the grounds of the home and two bodies were discovered buried.

Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has described the killings in Zamfara State as barbaric, unacceptable and called on the security agencies to swiftly devise a strategy to put an end to the ugly situation.

He also said that the killings was a major threat to our democracy, particularly as we move towards election period in the next 50 days.

Saraki, in a statement signed by his Special Adviser (Media and Publicity), Yusuph Olaniyonu, stated that the situation in Zamfara State is a demonstration that unlike in 2015 when the only crisis point in the northern part of the country was the North-east zone, the North-west has today been engulfed by a bloody situation in which human lives are wasted on a daily basis.

He said the killings have gone on for too long and the situation has not been given the desired attention as well as the right strategy that will stop it, adding that there was a clear indication of systemic failure.

“There is need for certain and proper profiling of the situation so that we can know whether it is simple cattle rustling, vicious armed robbery on a large scale, religious cum ethnic crisis or invasion by foreign forces.

Coach Carlo Ancelloti has revealed Napoli tried to get their Serie A match against Inter suspended because of racist chants at defender Kalidou Koulibaily.

In the closing stages, Koulibaily was sent off for sarcastically applauding the referee after a caution.

Speaking after the match, Ancelloti said Napoli had called for actions in response to alleged taunts directed at Senegal international Koulibaly and that in future, his players would leave the field.

“It’s a shame because twice we asked for the match to be suspended for the racist chanting towards Koulibaly,” Ancelotti told the club’s official website.

American singer, August Alsina, is mourning the death of his sister Chandra, who passed away on Christmas night after her battle with Cancer.

The 26-year-old recording artiste made the sad announcement via his Instagram page by uploading a tribute video dedicated to his late sister and mother of three daughters whose husband is also dead.

In the post,  Alsina wrote: 'Chandra... @_chachacha My Sister, My friend, life giver to my nieces, my hair magician, my biggest supporter, my number one fan. We lost such a beautiful soul on Christmas Night To the battle with cancer. I am Utterly devastated & Deeply shattered! Not only for myself, but for my 3 little nieces, whom are now robbed of BOTH parents. First, they killed Mel, Now Cancer has stolen you. 

What is life? Why is life? Why is THIS life? I’m calling on God for the answers. I don’t question God but THIS I’m not in agreement with.
