Rumours have been rampant since the 90s that R. Kelly is a child molester. The rumours peaked when the singer allegedly married Aaliyah when she was 15 and he was 27. But R. Kelly always denied those allegations. But with the recent docuseries by Lifetime, more people are asking for him to be investigated, tried, and prosecuted.

Beyonce's father, Mathew Knowles spoke of how he protected Destiny's child - a group made up of his daughter Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson, and LeToya Luckett - from R. Kelly in the 90s.

Governor Ganduje who was accused of taking bribe, drags Kwankwaso to EFCC for alleged corruption and diversion of government funds

Kano State governor. Abdullahi Ganduje has accused his predecessor, Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, of funding his presidential campaign with funds budgeted for road construction in the state.  

Ganduje made the revelation on Wednesday at the inauguration of campaign committees for his re-election bid. He also vowed to investigate Kwankwaso over a multi-billion Naira road project. He revealed that the issue had been taken to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for investigation.

According to him, 'after obtaining necessary court orders, the police just burnt this mountain of Indian hemp,Tramadol, cocaine, mamba (synthetic marijuana), codeine, Diazepam, Mandrax etc street value worth millions of naira. There is a strong link between drugs and crimes'.

Future thinks the world is giving too much attention to R Kelly and the scandal surrounding him.

The rapper stopped by the Power 106 studio during the promotional run for his studio album 'The WIZRD'. While there, he spoke about everything from his writing skills and upcoming documentary to Lady Gaga and the significance of radio play.

Host J Cruz then asked him if he would record with R. Kelly and Future replied:

Man, who is that? I thought we had forgot about that? We giving it too much attention.

When you give things too much attention, they blow up. That's why he gon' blow up. That's why his music gonna do what it do. If you stop talking about it, it'll go away.

Future's statement rubbed a lot of people the wrong way as they pointed out that not giving it attention means that the accusations will die down and sexual predators will thrive and keep going free.

Meanwhile, Future's 2012 "Parachute" track features R. Kelly and, unlike artists like Lady Gaga and Omarion, Future hasn't made any mention of retiring the track with the alleged sexual abuser.

The 2019 Oscars will reportedly go on without a host for the time in 30 years after their fallout with comedian Kevin Hart, who stepped down from hosting the event over his resurfaced homophobic tweets.  

According to Variety, the 91st Annual Academy Awards will have no host, since the organization appears to have given up on finding a star to take on the role.

The entertainment news site reports that the Oscars will instead recruit various stars in place of "one marquee name to kick things off in a monologue filled with Trump zingers." 

The 91st Academy Awards which just six weeks away, producers are reportedly scrambling to find A-listers celebrities willing to take part in the star-studded show lined up for February 24.

This comes after Ellen DeGeneres revealed she spoke to the Academy about the possibility of Kevin Hart coming back to host the Oscars.

Update: Teacher suspended over disturbing photo of black pupils allocated a table away from their white classmates in SA....SHE MUST BE PUNISHED

A teacher from Laerskool Schweizer-Reneke in the North West in South Africa has been suspended following the outrage over a photo she allegedly took of black pupils seated separately from their white classmates on their first day of school.

The announcement was made by the North West department of education during a meeting at the school following the online outrage and demonstrations by the community and political groups at the school.

According to Timeslive, the department confirmed that the teacher had been suspended with immediate effect.
