Michelle Obama reveals the 'greatest gift' she got from her mother as she shares new photo with her daughters, Malia and Sasha

Michelle Obama reveals the

Ahead of the Mother's Day celebrations tomorrow, former US first lady Michelle Obama just shared a new photo with her grown up daughters, Malia and Sasha as she revealed the greatest gift she ever got from her own mother.

According to her, 'with Mother's Day just a couple days away, I find myself thinking a lot about the way my mother raised me. And even though our family was crammed into a tiny apartment, one of the greatest gifts she gave me was the freedom to explore and develop into my own person'.
'For instance, even though we didn’t have much money, she and my dad cobbled enough money together to send me on a high-school trip to Paris, which opened up the world to me in so many ways. And now that I’m raising kids of my own, I wanted to pass that lesson on to my own girls. I’ve been so fortunate to be able to travel with Sasha and Malia all across the country and around the world—experiences my mother never would have dreamed of back when I was their age.
But though the settings may be different, the message is the same, and it’s one I hope mothers everywhere pass on to their daughters—in seeking out new perspectives and reaching outside of our comfort zones, we can discover more about ourselves.

65 people die as migrant boat capsizes off Tunisia

65 people die?as migrant boat capsizes off Tunisia
At least 65 migrants have died after their boat capsized in the Mediterranean off the coast of Tunisia.

According to the UN refugee agency, sixteen people were rescued. Survivors say the boat left Zuwara in Libya on Thursday and ran into trouble during strong waves.

So far, about 164 people have died on the route between Libya and Europe in the first four months of 2019, UNHCR figures show.

The incident is thought to be one of the deadliest shipwrecks involving migrants since the start of the year. The survivors were brought to the coast by the Tunisian Navy and are awaiting permission to disembark. One person has been transferred to hospital for medical treatment, the UNHCR says.

The navy dispatched a ship as soon as it heard about the incident and came across a fishing boat picking up survivors, a statement from the Tunisian defence ministry said. The passengers are understood to have been from sub-Saharan Africa.  "This is a tragic and terrible reminder of the risks still faced by those who attempt to cross the Mediterranean," the UNHCR's Vincent Cochetel said in a statement.

Facebook sues South Korean firm for unlawfully using its data

Facebook sues?South Korean firm for unlawfully using its data
Mark Zuckerberg's Facebook is suing a South Korean firm it accuses of unlawfully using data to sell marketing and advertising.

Facebook is asking a judge to force the firm, 'Rankwave', to allow it to audit the firm’s activities to see if user data was obtained and potentially sold saying the move would "send a message to developers that Facebook is serious about enforcing our policies. Facebook was investigating Rankwave’s data practices in relation to its advertising and marketing services," said Jessica Romero, Facebook's director of platform enforcement.

"Rankwave failed to co-operate with our efforts to verify their compliance with our policies, which we require of all developers using our platform."
