Woman lends money to the man she is in love with, he marries her friend instead

 

The expertise and disputes settlement department in Dubai affiliated to the court of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai heard a case of a woman, who had lent Dh5 million to her colleague she was in love with.

 

According to Emarat Al Youm Newspaper, the man, instead went ahead and married her friend instead.

 

Hashim Salem Al Qiwani, Director General of Expertise and Disputes Settlement Department (pictured)  said that after reviewing the case and the documents that prove the woman had lent him the money, the department asked the man to pay back Dh4.5 million.

 

The amount of money the woman couldn't prove was lent to him was not considered in the payback.

 

The woman working at a Dubai-based multinational company and had lent the money to her colleague over a period exceeding over two years. When the department questioned her, she explained that she loved him and didn't mind giving him the money.

 

When she returned to the UAE after a short leave, she received an invitation to his wedding with another woman working in the same company.

 

Al Qiwani said that such thing shocked her, and made her ask for her money back.

 

The department ordered the man to pay Dh4.5 million to the woman.

Eddie Murphy Expecting His 10th Child (Photos) - Celebrities -

Hollywood actor, Eddie Murphy, has confirmed he is expecting his 10th child with his partner, Paige Butcher.

The announcement comes on the heels of recent sightings of his girlfriend, Australian actress, Paige Butcher, with a visible baby bump.

In 2016, the longtime couple welcomed their first child together, daughter Izzy Oona Murphy.

She was also the first child for Paige. The actor has confirmed that they are indeed expecting a child. His representative also confirmed to E News that the baby is due in December.

The 57-year-old actor is no stranger to fatherhood. He is a dad to five kids with his ex-wife, Nicole Mitchell Murphy. They share four daughters—Bria, 28, Shayne, 23, Zola, 18, Bella, 16—and son Miles, 25.

The Oscar nominee also shares a son, Eric, 29, with Paulette McNeely and son Christian, 27, with Tamara Hood.

In 2007, former Spice Girl Melanie “Mel B” Brown gave birth to their daughter, Angel, 11.

While Murphy and Butcher have been dating for years, the Coming to America star has managed to keep their life together mostly private save for the occasional joint red carpet appearance.

This is partly due to the fact that both of them stay off social media.

Senator Jang: Nigeria Can Only Be Restructured When I'm President - Politics -

Former Plateau State governor and senator representing Plateau north senatorial district at the National Assembly, Dr. Jonah David Jang,(Senator Hang) said he will pursue vigorously the task of restructuring Nigeria if elected president

He lamented that the country was deeply divided along ethnic and religious lines thereby creating suspicion and lack of trust among various ethnic group in the country.

Jonah Jang disclosed this yesterday, when he presented letter of intent to contest the 2019 Presidential election to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“I’ve come on behalf people of my constituency, Plateau State, the Middle Belt of Nigeria, and the entire nation. I’ve come to formally and officially announce my interest and decision to join the contest for the Presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the coming 2019 elections.

“The clamour for restructuring will be addressed, in line with the provisions of our laws. Restructuring and reorganising Nigeria to the comfort of all Nigerians is a task I will face with commitment. If we have operated a system for 58 years and Nigerians are asking for a review of the structures, there is no need to delay it further.

“Today, Nigeria has increasingly become a deeply divided nation, and the bases for our unity are being eroded. We face enormous security challenges emanating from the proliferation of small arms and light weapons, the increased wave of armed banditry, leading to the annihilation of complete, hitherto, peaceful communities, armed communal clashes, religious fundamentalism, armed robbery, insurgency and unhindered kidnapping, among others.”

Jang, who acknowledged cheers from supporters who turned out from across the Middle Belt, said the region has supported and made several presidents, yet, the country has not produced a democratic elected president.

“Our party, the PDP, has zoned the presidency to the North, for the purpose of the 2019 elections. The Middle Belt is at the centre of the North; it is the glue of the North, the bridge of Nigeria, the guarantor of national unity and oneness, and has sustained the North over time.

“Sadly, however, this zone has not produced an elected president under our constitution. There have been arguments in our party recently, to the effect that the zone of the north, with the highest number of registered voters, should be given the presidential flag of the party.

“This is not the position of the party; it is only the opinion of some aspirants. The North Central and Middle Belt also have millions.

Apostle Suleman Condemns Comedians That Joke About Jesus - Religion

While preaching in his church recently, the senior pastor of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleiman, took a swipe at Nigerian comedians who take delight in using Jesus Christ to crack jokes.

According to him, no one can dare use Mohammed to crack jokes. He also took a swipe at Christians that do not stand up in defence of clergymen as they get dragged online.

Seven Important Points To Know Before Travelling To Dubai - Travel

Culture is influenced by Islam

The UAE is a Muslim country and their culture is heavily influenced by Islam. In general, you should be respectful of the local customs, wear modest clothing in public and follow guidelines provided by the staff at your hotel or at various tourist attractions.

Hot and humid climate

Dubai has a hot and humid climate, especially in the summer. So the best time to plan a trip to the city is between the months of October and March. Try not to visit during Ramadan (Muslim Holy Month of Fasting) as eateries will be closed and you won’t be able to eat or drink in public during the daytime. It’s also a good idea to dress conservatively even if you’re visiting during the summer.

Very easy to traverse Dubai

It’s easy to get around in Dubai thanks to the Dubai Metro, bus network, Dubai Tram and taxi service. The Metro starts from the airport and can take you to Jebel Ali which is at the other end of the city. Several tourist hot spots are also connected by the Metro and taxis are available for those that aren’t linked yet. Taxi fares are very reasonable if you want to pay with cash. Alternatively, you can also purchase a prepaid card which can be used for the Metro, buses, Tram and taxis.

The official currency is Dirham

The official currency in Dubai is the UAE Dirham. Credit cards are accepted at most places in Dubai but it’s also useful to have an internationally active ATM card. This will let you withdraw from the local ATM’s in Dirhams and pay for various expenses.

Endless tourist attractions

With beautiful beaches, bustling malls, grand mosques, heritage museums and old markets, Dubai offers an endless series of activities for any visitor. The city is home to the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. Located on Sheikh Zayed Road, you can find the Dubai Mall which houses the Dubai Aquarium along with an Underwater Zoo. If you prefer some sun and sand you can head to the Jumeirah Beach.

The first day of the week in Dubai is Sunday

The weekend in Dubai starts from Thursday to Saturday, not Friday to Sunday. Therefore Sunday, not Monday, is the dreaded first day of the work week

You can be arrested for PDA

Dubai is a Muslim city, kissing, cuddling, and even holding hands in public are not only frowned upon by many but actually illegal. All too often, naive foreigners are arrested for committing indecent acts. This is just one example of actions that might be legal in your own country, but aren't in Dubai. Others include drinking alcohol in public (except at licensed establishments) and giving someone the middle finger. Committing any of these offences may see you fined, stripped of your passport, and thrown in jail.

Man Brutalises His Wife, Tears Up Her Certificates After Quarrel. Photos - Crime -

The issue of domestic violence cannot be over-emphasised. A Nigerian woman has landed in a hospital with broken mouth after she was allegedly brutalised by her own husband. According to the woman who didn't give the reason for the alleged maltreatment by her husband, she was beaten mercilessly and left injured in the process.

The woman also accused her husband of tearing up her certificates and credentials in a bid to spite and punish her.

The woman who was rushed to the hospital after the alleged brutalisation is now seeking for justice after contacting her legal team.
