Omarose Manigault In 'War' With Donald Trump - Politics -

POSTSNigerian lady in war with U.S President Donald Trump

A Nigerian lady, Omarose Manigault who worked as communication aide to United States President, Donald Trump before resigning few months ago is currently in war with the U.S President in a way no one has ever imagined.

The bold, brave, smart and articulate Omarosa is the kind of woman that can make the strongest man bow. Indeed, she is the kind of woman the Yoruba people often describe as Obirin bi Okunrin, meaning a woman like a man.

In the past 3 weeks, Omarosa has seized the U.S media for herself, serving them with content from the highest level. Like never before, she is dealing with Donald Trump to the amazement of the American media.

For the first time ever, Donald Trump is up against someone with the moral stamina and the required skills to serve him in his own coin and if you care to know, the beautiful lady is a Nigerian showing the typical can do Nigerian spirit.

“My full name is Omorosaonee; it’s a Yoruba name that means, ‘my beautiful child desired.’ My father’s family is Nigerian, my mother is American.”

That’s what Omarosa said In a 2010 interview with Vibe, an American online publication with heavy focus on music artists and before anyone says no, Omarosa drew attention to her facial look to prove she’s a Nigerian. TheCable added.

“I do recognize where I’m from and my lineage,” she said. “I mean you look at my cheekbones, you look at my fierce fighting spirit and attitude—you know exactly where I’m from.”

According to the Cable, Omarosa has done everything to create attention around her Nigerian descent, including taking business to the country.
“I went to Nigeria three years ago and did a whole press tour there for about three weeks and helped to launch an Apprentice Africa. It was pretty exciting,” she told Vibe.

The Apprentice Africa referenced by Omarosa was premiered in Nigeria in February 2008. The show that was an adaptation of the original American Reality TV format, The Apprentice, which launched Omarosa to fame, was hosted by Biodun Shobanjo, an advertising guru who has his hands in the famed Insight Communications and Troyka Group.

The show was aired in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania with 18 contestants from six African countries: Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, Cameroon and Guinea.

In an undated interview with Kam Williams, published by the US blacknews.com, Omarosa explained the story behind her name when by the reporter asked her to talk about “who’s at the top of your hero list?” “My mother, Mommarosa,” she said. And in response to “what type of names are Omarosa, Mommarosa and Manigault,” with a guess from the reporter as “Haitian”, she said: “No, Nigerian names.”pix

What I Did To Help My Child Improve In Maths - Education -

POSTS
Every parent wants to do what's best for their child.
I'm a mother of 2 and I want to share my experience with other parents of how I helped my child from bad grades to very impressive results.

Teni was really falling behind in maths and bringing home bad grades.
His teacher had communicated his struggles with me.
He was in Pry 2 at the time and had confided in me that all the kids in his class always got concepts taught except him which made him feel he wasn't smart enough.

His first term result in maths was an E followed by a D for second term.I was sincerely worried and knew I had to do something fast.

I had always known that "most good students aren't born good learners". So I had this feeling that if my child can have the basic aptitude, then with the right motivation, he can become a good learner.

My first strategy was to devote more time to his homework. When he comes back home, I allow him teach me what lessons he learnt in school for that day. With this, he experiences less control and develops confidence. He sometimes makes mistakes, but then I was always quick to correct.

I placed more emphasis on learning the basic principles, and to make it more interesting for him, I explain to him how math applies to real life. For example, I allow him figure out how many biscuits can be bought with 100 Naira, if each biscuit is sold for 50 Naira at the school kiosk.

I noticed he was gradually improving. I needed to device a new strategy since my leave was over and I had to resume work. I decided to search online for solutions and most of what I got was private tutoring.

I had once worked as a teacher in a private school so I thought to give it a try. Helping him out with his homework exposed a lot to me and made me understand why a lot of children struggle with some particular subjects.

From the lesson with him I found out that

1. One on one tutoring enables children to ask questions about their challenges without fear of environmental pressure.

2. It enables students to learn at their own pace which might not be possible in a traditional classroom setting.

3. It encourages personalized learning. No two students are same. Some are auditory learners while some are visual learners.

My son is a visual learner so I was always able to get materials to show him which he saw and touched to aid his understanding. You can teach a child a concept without getting it but if he or she sees and touches what you're talking about ,it helps a great deal and they never forget.

4. Many times lessons taught in class are time sensitive and fast moving. There might be a particular line that is crucial to helping a child understand a topic which he didn't get in class. With one on one coaching you can take the lesson as slow as necessary.

5. Flexibility of teaching methods.
One on one teaching affords you the benefit of trying several methods of teaching as against the unavoidable one size fits all method used in classrooms.

A lot of teachers won't tell you this but if only your child does not understand a topic taught in class ,sorry they have to move on to the next subject because other kids who understand are waiting. Schemes have to be covered and all.

The student carries the challenge unattended to and when it's time for exams ,I bet you know what would be of the child's performance in that subject or topic and then it will be said that the child is dull.

Believe it or not, after applying these strategies, my son got a B in maths this third term and the teachers were really surprised at the change. Thanks to the internet. You too can do the same for your child today. Cheers!

Buhari Is Marginalising Igbos – Father Mbaka - Religion -

POST
Mbaka accuses FG of marginalising Igbo

Mbaka begged the officials of the Bank of Agriculture to give his cooperative loans to help him create employment opportunities for the youths who have no jobs…

The Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Nigeria, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has alleged high level of the Federal Government’s marginalisation of Ndigbo in the scheme of things in Nigeria.

The fiery priest said he is pained that in spite of his support for President Buhari, Igbo are so marginalised to the extent that he slept in Abuja for weeks to get a loan from the Bank of Agriculture to energise his farming vision in order to create jobs to teaming unemployed graduates.

Fr. Mbaka, who spoke yesterday at the Adoration ground, during the flag-off of a three-day farmers empowerment programme by Multi-Life Saver’s, a corporative society made of 18 clusters with 5,000 members and visiting officials of the Bank of Agriculture, described the government agricultural programme as ‘poor claim and fake’.

He said the cooperative has 470 hectares of farmland with Certificate of Occupancy, but could not get loan because he was not a northerner.

“Whenever I went to obtain loan from the Bank of Agriculture, they would tell me to get a commercial bank that will do this and do that. The commercial banks will asked me to brink the feathers of one snake and leg of snake. This went on for many years and we are ready to impact significance into our agriculture; the only barrier is funding and encouragements,” he said.

Mbaka begged the officials of the Bank of Agriculture to give his cooperative loans to help him create employment opportunities for the youths who have no jobs or either hope of getting a job.

He said: “It’s a sad development; if a northern has this kind of vision they would come around him, but here, we are alone. We started it in Adani and there was no help; there was flood and we lost N830 million and I went down to Nkereife. We had the largest poultry farm in the east of the Niger. In one day we lost 939,000 births. With the type of courage God gave to me, nobody knew and nobody will know apart from the fact that I’m disclosing it now. No encouragement and they are longing for authentic farmers, and we are farmers.

“So, please, on behalf of the adoration members, we want them to monitor the funding and implementation. We don’t kill criminals here, we kill crime. If you go to Aqua Rapha investment Ltd, we have thousands of them working, yet, we don’t have governments’ support apart from Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, who remembered us and created a road to this place.

People thought President Buhari is helping me, but he is not helping us with one kobo. So, those who could have been helping thought he was helping and now he has become a hindrance.

“If you go to the North, you would see how billions are spent there. If you go to my farm, there is a River that separates the land which makes it difficult for me to move equipment, and now, I’m doing the bridge by myself without help from anywhere, yet, I’m a priest.

“So, I’m representing the poor, that is why I’m attacking many governments because when they cannot help the poor who I represent, and when the pressure is too much on me, I attack them.

“Why can’t the federal government which claims to support agriculture not help the agriculturist? So, it is a poor and fake claim. Why can’t we have here a pilot farm that would be the eyes of this country? “We have in our aquaculture fishes one of the species which contains five billion fishes, but lack of good road to the farm led to the closure of that farm and the federal government is aware of this. So, for me, it is not just negligence, but wickedness and unhealthy marginalisation, because I’m not from the North. If a northerner had this kind of vision, from the Central Bank, order will be given. There are subsidies here and there to be granted, not even loan. They will have to seek grants, give the farm grants for whatever it takes. That is why the Igbo are crying.
Some of us have been friends with the president, but when you seat down and think deeper, you see his nepotism,” he lamented.

Lifeless Comment: FG Should Issue Strong Statement Against US, Trump - Sagay - Politics -

Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos

Prof. Itse Sagay ( SAN), Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption ( PACAC) has advised the Federal Government to issue a strong statement to the United States on the alleged statement by US President, Donald Trump describing President Muhammadu Buhari, who was his visitor at the White House in April, as lifeless.

Sagay, who spoke in telephone chat with Daily Independent from the United States on Wednesday, said the Nigerian government should prove to the world that it will not accept disrespect from anyone especially to its president.

According to Sagay, while he is not surprised about the personality of Trump who is noted for making unguarded statements, it baffles him that he could use such an uncomplimentary remark about President Buhari whom he praised and commended for the giant strides his government had recorded since coming to office during the visit to the White House.

Describing Trump as a man who is totally out of control, he said “it is absolutely incredible for one Head of State to make uncomplimentary remarks about another”.

“It is absolutely incredible for one Head of State to say anything derogatory about another but if you look at Trump’s record, he has been totally unguarded in his utterances. He has made derogatory statement without regards for the consequences or the correctness of the statement. So, one will not be too surprised.

I am only surprised that he could say it about our President who visited him and he ( Trump) made very positive statements about his government and also showed so much goodwill to him as a person.

“So, i won’t be surprised because he is a man who is out of control and says things which gravity he doesn’t appreciate.

“I think he should be ignored. When a small child or a senseless person says something, nobody takes him serious”

“But if our government believes that it is true that he actually said so, they should issue a strong statement in response to show that Nigeria will not brook any disrespect from anybody especially to our President” he said
