My Girl Doesn't Want To Marry Me Because We Are From Different Churches - Romance -

Knificent.blogspot.com .

I met this girl 4years back and one thing led to another and we started a relationship, things have been pretty well and we love each other very much, we have our ups and down but we makeup for it. I love her so much I could do anything for her and she loves me too in her own special kind of way.

The problem now is that am planning on proposing to her in a couple of weeks, I even stylishly measured her ring size and I have been visiting some jewelry stores to pick the perfect ring for her and also planning some surprise engagement party/get together for her but the thing is that she hates my church (catholic).

She is Anglican by birth but she attends one of the pentecostal churches which I don't want to mention,
we have been talking about this church of a thing for the past 3 months now and she has sworn never to get married in the Catholic Church and I can't leave my church because of this.

I even stopped talking or texting her for some couple of days now but today she texted me saying that "I should do this one thing for her by leaving my church" and even said it to my face that I should not propose to her when the time comes cos she will say no because of this.

Am just confused, what shall I do? I need help

Pot-Bellied Nigerian Police Officers: Police Commission Worried - Career

Knificent.blogspot.com .

The Police Service Commission (PSC) says henceforth police officers will no longer be promoted to the next rank without the requisite training programmes and examinations.

A statement by the commission’s Head, Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, said the commission`s Chairman, Musiliu Smith, disclosed this at a meeting with the management of the Nigeria Police Force on Friday in Abuja.

“From now and henceforth, one of the conditions for promotion must be attendance and passing the senior Command Course for senior officers and other prescribed courses for others,” he said.

Mr Smith said the force before now had promoted officers severally without attending the requisite training programmes attached to the ranks.

“Henceforth, result of performance of officers from appropriate training courses must be attached to the recommendation to the commission for promotion,” he said.

Mr Smith, who frowned at irregular postings of officers, said officers should be allowed to stay at a new post for two to three years.

He expressed displeasure on the long stay of officers posted to the Police Mobile Force (PMF) and called that the practice be stopped.

The chairman advised that every police officer should be a licensed driver so that during operations, in case of the sudden incapacitation of the team’s driver, someone else would take over.

He warned against the indiscriminate conversion of police specialists to general duty without due consideration to their valuable role in the force.

“There is official procedure for conversion and henceforth, this should be strictly followed.

“Officers recruited to work in the workshop, signals and other professional departments/units should be left and encouraged to pursue their careers,” he said.

He urged the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to revisit recent carried conversions, and return them to their special departments.

The chairman called for a harmonised method of producing police uniforms that would be the same from a reputable source.

He called for the construction of a standard and modern barracks which would enhance effective community policing.

On physical fitness, he urged the management to arrest the growing population of pot-bellied police officers.

In his remark, the IGP said that the management was determine to transform the force to a more people-friendly organisation.

He said that discipline, which was the foundation upon which the force was built, would be sustained.

Mr Idris solicited the support of the commission to ensure that the highest level of discipline was elicited from officers.

The police boss reminded the chairman of the recommendation of some AIGs to be promoted to DIGs to replace the retired ones.

“This will help the force to continue to pilot the affairs of the force at the strategic level and also assist the police in preparing for the Osun governorship election and the 2019 general elections,” he said.

He urged the chairman to help the force get assistance from the federal government to enable it surmount some of its challenges.

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg Considering A Run For President In - Foreign Affairs

Knificent.blogspot.com .

Michael Bloomberg appears to be focusing on 2020.

The former New York City mayor, best known for his liberal-Republican-turned-Independent stance, is reportedly planning to run for president in the next election.

Bloomberg, who also considered Independent runs for office in 2008, 2012, and 2016, will run as a Democrat in 2020 and challenge Donald Trump, The Times of London reports.

A source close to the British publication confirmed that the 76-year-old billionaire is allegedly making a run for the White House.

“Mike Bloomberg told me he is going to run in 2020,” the source told the newspaper. “He has the money to see it through while other candidates knock themselves out.”

Representatives for Michael Bloomberg did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

In a separate report by The New York Post, Bloomberg announced in June during a fundraiser that he would be returning to this polls, but this time, for the Oval Office.

“Before you leave I want to get your cell phone number,” he told attendees at the end of his speech, “because I’m thinking of getting the band back together.” His comment was well-received, reports the publication, as the audience applauded for the man who they believed was expressing interest in a presidential run.

In 2016, Bloomberg announced on his website that he would not move forward with his run for the presidency, claiming that “an independent candidacy would split the Electoral College and allow Congress to elect an extremist.”

Added the three-term mayor: “When I look at the data, it’s clear to me that if I entered the race, I could not win. I believe I could win a number of diverse states — but not enough to win the 270 Electoral College votes necessary to win the presidency.”

Following the announcement, Bloomberg remained closely tied to the election and showed support for Hillary Clinton during her campaign. At the Democratic convention in July 2016, Bloomberg poked fun at Trump’s The Apprentice background, claiming that this was “not reality television; it was reality,” The New York Post reported.

He went on to refer to President Trump as “a dangerous demagogue” and a “risky, reckless, and radical choice,” advising the audience to vote Clinton who he claimed was a “sane competent person with international experience.”

Although Bloomberg has vocally disagreed with the current president, a representative from Trump’s team reportedly admitted to the New York-based publication in August that the former mayor would pose the biggest threat for a re-election.

“If I were a Democrat strategist and somebody said to me, ‘Who do you want to be the Democrat nominee for president of the United States?’ there’s only one name I would choose and his name is Michael Bloomberg,” former Trump adviser Corey Lewandowski said.

“Mike Bloomberg created tens of thousands of jobs over the course of his lifetime,” he continued. “That is a story the American people like and he’s an outsider. I think it would be a very competitive race.”

Evans Gave Me Tetanus Injections After His Gang Shot Me –businessman - Crime -

Knificent.blogspot.com .

Nigerian billionaire kidnapper, Evans who is still undergoing trial for the crimes he committed, has been accused by one of his victims, James Uduji of giving him tetanus injections for seven days to treat the gun wounds he sustained during his abduction.

According to the businessman, he was abducted on September 7, 2015 by four armed men on his way home from his factory at Agbara, Ogun State and Evans drove the Lexus 470 SUV. Evans who is standing for two separate charges, bordering on conspiracy to kidnap, kidnapping and attempted murder, stood for trial alongside Joseph Emeka, Ugochukwu Nwachukwu and Victor Aduba in the first charge. In the second charge, he is standing trial alongside Joseph Emeka, Linus Okpara and Victor Aduba.

The businessman disclosed that several gunshots were fired by the kidnappers who were driving a Lexus 470 SUV at the time of the incident, and it occurred close to his house on 7th Avenue, FESTAC Town, Lagos.

“I was inside my Hilux van with my two drivers when the men came and pulled me out of my vehicle and dragged me inside their own vehicle.

“I was not blindfolded at this point, so I saw the men clearly and the man at the steering with a gun was Evans. He is the only one I can recognise among the four" he said.

“I then realised I sustained bullet wounds,” he said.

Uduji also told the court that the kidnappers later called a doctor on the telephone who treated his bullet wound at their destination. Punch reported that he stated that he was given two tetanus injections for seven days, adding that Evans was the so called doctor who treated him.

He concluded his testimony by disclosing that he spent a total of 45 days in the kidnappers’ den before he was released, following the payment of $1.2m (about N400m) as ransom. Uduji told the court that the $1.2m ransom was paid by his family in three instalments, adding that he was released eight days after the ransom was paid.

One of Uduji’s drivers, Mr. Jerome Ugoeze, told the court that he was equally shot in the attack. According to him, after being shot, he pretended to be dead while his boss was whisked away by the kidnappers.
