The presence of phones presents both challenges and opportunities for the present day students. Mobile phones can be a useful academic tool. It can also be a hurtful academic disturbance depending on the use pattern. It also depends on the attitude of the students and the policies of the schools they go to.

Mobile phones are obviously convenient. Due to mobile phones, students never need to look for a pay telephone or wonder about the location of their friends and Lecture Theater.

These ubiquitous communication tools enable students to instantly reach their parents and their peers. Everything from calling to check movie times to ordering a pizza is easier with a mobile phone.

#2. Greater Technology Availability

This can be categorize as one of the positive effects of mobile phones on students. Picture taking and Internet surfing are readily available on most phones.

This guides students in gathering the info that they need for school or accessing their school website or their email. Students benefit from the technology availability as it enables the students to create more polished academic products with little efforts than before the ready availability of phones.

#3. Improved Personal Security

Many parents contend and argue that mobile phones keep students very safe. A parent will never be more than a phone call away when a student is carrying their mobile phone.

The presence of a mobile phone likewise guarantees that students can call their parents or emergency personnel on account of an unforeseen emergency. While most students will never need to utilize their mobile phone as a safety gadget.The knowledge that it could be utilized as such puts parents at ease and keeps them paying the monthly mobile phone charge.

#4. More Distractions

The biggest lament of teachers with respect to mobile phones is that they lead to student off task behavior and distraction. Messaging a friend is a tempting diversion that so many students prefer over listening to a lecture or completing a class assignment.

This is one of the major negative effects of mobile phones on students. While helpful, a significant number of the features of mobile phones can likewise be used to take part in improper behaviors. Taking inappropriate pictures (nudes) and then send them to a girlfriend or boyfriend is a growing problem. These photos sometimes end up in the wrong hands. This may prompts others gaining access to the private photos. 

Teenagers often fail to recognize the long haul implications of inappropriate conduct. They take part in the conduct without thinking about the consequences.The consequences for inappropriate conduct are real and long lasting. A 17-year-old boy has been arrested for stabbing his 24-year-old teacher to death. Photos of the boy brandishing a knife before carrying out the crime have now been released. Photos of the injured teacher lying on his hospital bed before his death have also been shared online.

According to reports, the boy stabbed his teacher last Thursday in full view of a class that was in the process of writing an examination at Ramotshere Moiloa High School in Zeerust‚ North West, South Africa (read here).

It was gathered that the teacher named Gadimang Daniel Mokolobate reprimanded the student on Wednesday, September 12, for skipping the queue at the school’s feeding programme. The next day, September 13, the boy arrived at school armed with the weapon.

The department of basic Education national spokesperson, Elijah Mhlanga, said:

On Thursday, he didn’t come to school on time. He arrived at 11am and went into the classroom where other learners were writing.

Two teachers were in the classroom invigilating. He approached the teacher who had reprimanded him yesterday and stabbed him in the chest several times.

The boy ran away shortly after stabbing his teacher but a security guard and other students tackled him. 

According to the department, in March the suspect was given a warning for coming to school in possession of a knife.

Police confirmed that the teen was in police custody and would be charged with murder.

Henry Winkler Gushes Over 1st Emmy Win: Finally The ‘Right’ Time For Him To Take Home The Award

Four decades after his first nomination, now was the right time for Henry Winkler’s first Emmy, he told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY after winning Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

Henry Winkler, 72, is a television veteran. He was first nominated for a Primetime Emmy in 1976 for his most well-known role, The Fonz, on Happy Days. He was an Emmy nominee four more times after that, again for Happy Days, as well as his roles in Who Are the DeBolts? And Where Did They Get Nineteen Kids? and The Practice. Henry finally took home a trophy after the 2018 Emmy Awards on Sept. 17 after winning Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Gene Cousineau on Barry, starring fellow Emmy winner Bill Hader. But the legendary actor doesn’t think his Emmy is long overdue! HollywoodLife caught up with Henry after the award show, and one of comedy’s most respected figures EXCLUSIVELY spilled to us about his first Emmys win.

We asked Barry if now was the right time to win his Emmy. “You know what, it seems to be,” he admitted to HollywoodLife in the press room. “It is the time. It is actually the moment I won and it has got to be right!” He later added in the group panel that winning was “wonderful,” mentioning that he’s been “nominated before.” And while the crowd in Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater loved Henry’s speech, which he joked that he wrote “43 years ago,” Henry thinks he left out some honorable mentions. “Oh, but I didn’t get to thank the kids in my class who make me a great teacher,” Henry told us. Funnily, Henry plays an acting teacher on Barry, who gives lessons to Bill Hader’s character, Barry Berkman. Earlier this year, HBO put up fake advertisements of “Acting Teacher Extraordinaire” Gene M. Cousineau on Manhattan’s buses and subway cars, with Henry’s face on them. The actor added, “And I didn’t get to thank HBO… Who put us on the air.”

We then asked if Henry anticipates another win at the next Golden Globes, which will take place on Jan. 6, 2019. “Oh, I have no idea. I won many years ago for Happy Days and then Heroes, but I have no idea. But I’m excited for now,” he mused to us. Henry’s being modest — he won Best Actor for a Television Series Musical or Comedy consecutively in 1977 and 1978 for his role in Happy Days. Later at the HBO after-party in West Hollywood, Henry dished on what it’s like to work with Barry‘s star Bill, who won the coveted award for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series at the 2018 Emmys. “I will tell you when he is producing, he is not a comedian, he is focused and serious,” Henry revealed. “He would write the script, he would mouth it with you even if he was in your scene. You’d have to remind him we are acting together, I can see your lips moving. He would say to me, ‘Henry, please just once say it the way I wrote it so I could hear it.’ And my mind and my mouth are not always friends. So I said, ‘I’m trying.'”

So, how does it feel like to hold an Emmy trophy? “It feels unbelievable. On Wednesday, in two days, we start the second season and I’m on this great show,” Henry told us at the HBO bash. “I was 27 when I started doing the Fonz. I’m now 72 and I’m standing right here in front of you with her,” and proceeded to hold up the award for us to admire. Henry ends on a topic not everyone knows about: his dyslexia. “You know what, I’m very dyslexic. And I don’t know that I could have done anything else,” he admitted, referring to his acting career. “It was never in my mind, in my body, in my heart to do anything else. And every job is like a puzzle. It’s like a big puzzle. And all the pieces are a shade of blue and I have to put them together each time. So it is like an amazing challenge every time, no matter how big or how small, in order to create a living breathing human being so that I can be on this stage with her.” He proudly lifted his trophy once again.

So, did Henry really write that speech 43 years ago? Well, he might have been exaggerating a tad. “No. That was another speech,” the jokester told us. “Different people. I forgot to thank HBO. I wanted to say for everybody that works between the roof and the lobby on both coasts, they took such good care of our show. I forgot that.”

Cardi B, 25, is still reeling over her fight with Nicki Minaj, 35, at the Harper’s Bazaar ICONS party during New York Fashion Week and she’s putting the negative energy into a new diss track! “Cardi B is still furious at Nicki and she is coming after her in a new diss track which might be released very soon, maybe even in the next few days or later this week,” a hip hop insider EXCLUSIVELY shared with HollywoodLife. “Cardi was in the studio working all night last night on the track which is full of heated words. She has been feeling inspired to get a few things off her chest because she has never felt more disrespected and motivated at the same time. New music is coming soon and Nicki better brace for impact.”

It sure sounds like Cardi is doing what she can to get back at the “Superbass” singer. After walking out of the party with a huge bump on her head, the new mother proved she’s willing to do whatever it takes to stand up for what she believes in. Shortly after the fight, Cardi took to social media to defend herself and explain that she did what she did because Nicki was allegedly talking ill of her baby daughter Kulture. Nicki denied the claim on her radio show, Queen Radio and pointed out that Cardi is an alleged liar.

Cardi’s diss track won’t be the first time she’s dissed Nicki. She recently took to social media to post a photo of top hip hop album sales for the year and pointed out that “numbers don’t lie” indicating her album Invasion of Privacywas on the list and Nicki’s album Queen was not. The post came after Nicki posted a series of tweets claiming she had the top album in the U.S. It will be interesting to see what Cardi’s diss track will say but either way, we’re sure she’ll have a lot of fans jumping to hear it!

Now that the couple has applied for a marriage license, friends and family realize this wedding is happening soon and wishing he’d not make such a race towards the altar. “Justin doesn’t feel like he is rushing into anything and it bothers him when friends or family question his actions or insist he slow down,” a source close to the 24-year-old singer tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

“He knows in his heart that Hailey is the only one for him, for the rest of his life, and it saddens him out when anyone tries to judge or question him otherwise. Justin does not think he is rushing into anything. He has always wanted to be a father and he knows marrying Hailey is the best thing in the world and will make an amazing mother to his kids. The “Sorry” singer has always seemed to know Hailey was the one, even when he wasn’t ready to be a fully committed boyfriend to her. In a 2016 interview with GQ, he revealed “I know that in the past I’ve hurt people and said things that I didn’t mean to make them happy in the moment. So now I’m just more so looking at the future, making sure I’m not damaging them. What if Hailey ends up being the girl I’m gonna marry, right? If I rush into anything, if I damage her, then it’s always gonna be damaged. It’s really hard to fix wounds like that. It’s so hard. I just don’t want to hurt her.”

Whoa! Talk about prophetic. At the time Justin added, “Right now in my life, I don’t want to be held down by anything. I already have a lot that I have to commit to. A lot of responsibilities. I don’t want to feel like the girl I love is an added responsibility.” The Biebs has since taken a seemingly indefinite break from any upcoming album plans and can’t stand touring. Now that he’s had plenty of downtime over the last year, he’s finally been able to make his personal life his biggest priority. He just wants to be a husband and father, while being an international pop superstar is secondary to his life.

Snoop Dogg slams Kanye West and 'racist' Donald Trump, tells them 'F*** you' in new explosive radio rant (Video)

Legendary rapper, Snoop Dogg has put Kanye West and Donald Trump on the blast again.

The 46-year-old rapper, who has long been an outspoken critic of the US President, was speaking on politics during an Sirius XM interview this week where he made his feelings known, saying a big 'f*** you' to Donald Trump along with a 'f*** you' to his supporter Kanye West.

When DJ Suss One brought up the topic after a warning that a lot of his listeners don't like it when he 'talks bad' about the president.

Snoop then replied to him saying: 'Well you need to know that a lot of your fans is racist. Ain't no f***** way around it.

'I tell 'em straight up muthaf****. If you like that n**** [Trump] you muthaf*****' racist. F*** you and f*** him. Now what?' the rapper said.

'N**** he drew the lines. He drew the muthaf*****’ lines. Before him there were no lines,' Snoop continued. 

Snoop said that racism is a bigger issue now since Trump took office in January 2017. 

'Everybody was everybody, we respected every thing, we didn't trip, but n**** when you drew the line and start pointing muthaf***** out and singling them out n*** f*** y’all then n****. You and them.'

Snoop then brought up Kanye, saying 'f*** him too,' adding, 'Kanye too. Don't forget about him too. F*** you too. Throw him in the bag, 'cause he right there with the muthaf*****.'
