The Minster of State for Petroleum, Dr Ibe kachukwu, has said that it would be sad if the nation’s refineries are not functional by the end of 2019.

According to him, the present administration is committed to ensuring that the importation of petroleum products is curtailed.

Abdullahi Sani, who appeared before a Katsina State Senior Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, has been slammed with charges of rape and culpable homicide contrary to sections 283 and 221 of the Penal Code.

The committee said those who “spray” naira notes at parties risk going to jail for six months or earning a fine of N50,000 after trial by mobile courts that would be deployed nationwide.
