Sponsoring Pilgrims With Government’s Funds Is Criminal - Emir Of Kano, Sanusi - Politics VERY TRUE!

Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, has said that it is criminal to sponsor people to Hajj and other pilgrimages with government’s funds. He made the assertion at the two-day Northern Nigeria Traditional Leaders Conference on Out-Of-School Children, which ended yesterday in Kaduna.


According to him, any one who takes one kobo to sponsor people for hajj is stealing, insisting: “It is not an act of piety, but we do it all the time.“In 2000, I wrote an article on a government that sent 300 scholars to hajj. We are all malikis’ here. Imam Malik said it is prohibited, unlawful to take money from the treasury to sponsor a poor man who has no money for hajj.”

Demi Moore, Liv Tyler, and Naomi Campbell led the star-studded arrivals. As for the royals, they all looked regal. 
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry co-ordinated their outfits, with Meghan in a head-to-toe navy blue, while Harry had on a navy blue waistcoat. 
Kate Middleton wowed in Fuchsia Alexander McQueen and she was accompanied by her husband Prince William. Kate's heavily pregnant sister, Pippa Middleton was also present in a lovely green gown that showed her growing bump. By her side was her husband, James Matthews.

Homophobes who murdered a 14-year-old Iraqi boy in the streets of Baghdad while shouting antigay slurs also recorded and posted a video of the sickening crime that’s gone viral on social media and sparked outrage among LGBTQ people worldwide, according to Albawaba. 

In the terrifying video, the teen, identified as Hamoudi al-Mutairi, can be heard asking for his mother as he lies dying in the street. 

Fire Engulfs Overland Airways Aircraft At Lagos Airport - Travel -

The office of Overland Airways at the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MM1), Lagos, is currently on fire.

According to information provided to SaharaReporters by a witness to the tragedy, the fire started at about 10:30am; a plane was being serviced at the tarmac when it suddenly went up in flames.

"It's big fire," the witness told SaharaReporters on phone. "Half of the Overland AIrways plane is burnt, while some chartered aircraft being repaired were also torched."

Fire-fighters are currently trying to put out the fire.

Balarabe Musa, the first civilian Governor of Kaduna state on Thursday said former president Olusegun Obasanjo’s endorsement of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for the 2019 presidential election will amount to nothing because he (Obasanjo) is no longer relevant in the scheme of things.

Speaking in a chat with Daily Independent, Nusa said it is unfortunate that Atiku who wants to take over the Presidency in 2019 is already associating himself with failures who have messed up the country like Obasanjo.
