Hospital Attendant And Herbalist Arrested For Stealing Baby’s Placenta In Kwara - Crime -


A hospital attendant, Fatima Suleiman, and a herbalist, Salaudeen Ibrahim, have been arrested for stealing a new born baby’s placenta on October 31, 2018, at Capstone Hospital, Ilorin, Kwara State.

The state Police Commissioner, Kofowora Bolaji, said “upon successful surgery, the doctor handed over the placenta to Fatima to give to the father of the baby, but she instead sold it to Alfa Salaudeen Ibrahim to use for charm.”

A murder investigation continues following the death of a 16-year-old Nigerian boy John Ogunjobi in Lambeth, London.

Police were initially called to Greenleaf Close on Monday, 5 November, to reports of a shooting.

Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service (LAS) and found a 16-year-old boy collapsed in the street with stab injuries.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, the male was pronounced dead at the scene at 23:41hrs. His next of kin are aware.

HIV-infected soldier arrested after raping more than 70 teenage boys

Police have arrested an HIV-infected soldier identified as Sgt. Maj. Jakkrit Khomsing who allegedly blackmailed and raped more than 70 teenage boys in Thailand.  

Police said in a statement that they received a complaint that Khomsing was using fake social media profiles on Facebook and the gay dating app Blued to win the trust of his victims. Police Lt. Col. Nacharot Kaewpetch said the victims would send their nude photos to Khomsing before agreeing to meet him.

The United States is now the world’s biggest crude oil producer, pushing Russia and Saudi Arabia to the back seat.

In the week ending November, the U.S. crude production hit a whopping 11.6 million bpd, according to Energy Information Administration (EIA) data released on Wednesday.

That’s a threefold increase from the U.S. low reached a decade ago, and a 22.2 percent rise just this year. It makes the United States the world’s biggest producer of crude.

Russia pumps an average of 10.8million bpd and Saudi Arabia, about 10.5million bpd.

More U.S. oil will likely come. The EIA expects output to break through 12 million bpd by mid-2019, largely thanks to a surge in shale oil production.
