Strike: President Buhari Meets With NANS At Presidential Villa - Education -

President Muhammadu Buhari is meeting with National and Zonal leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students, (NANS).

The meeting which was scheduled for 11:30 am has the delegation of the students’ body seated at the Council Chamber in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The discussion of the meeting will be centred on the ongoing strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

OMG!!! New report claims the fitness trainer Cassie was pictured kissing was hired by Diddy to keep her fit but they ended up sleeping together

It has been claimed that the fitness trainer Cassie was pictured kissing was the same trainer her now ex-boyfriend, Diddy hired to keep her body in shape but the pair ended sleeping with each other.

Sources close to Diddy told TMZ, that his personal trainer, Jamal Liggin, got so busy he hired several trainers as backup, including Alex Fine to train Cassie.

It was also claimed that Cassie and Alex hooked up before her split with Diddy.

According to the insiders, Diddy paid Alex and gave him full responsibility to train Cassie in 2018, but the pair fell for each other and began sleeping together.

Although, it wasn't revealed if it was the reason for their split but it was reported that Diddy feels betrayed by Cassie.

Break Down Of Chelsea Recorded Profit For 2017/18 Fiscal Year - Sports -

On December 31 2018, Chelsea fc announced a new record for revenue generated throughout last season and profit which totaled a whopping sum of £443.4m, which stands at an increase to the previous fiscal year by £82.1m, a 22.7% increase compared to previous season (2016/17 was a record of £361.2m revenue, with £16m in profit) and a profits of £62m. This will be the fourth time Chelsea fc will be recording profit after an unsurprising loss of £140m in 2005 since the Abramovich era.

Broadcast /TV Revenue – £204.1million (2016/17 was £162.4m)
Player sales – £113m (from 21 players, mostly academy players, including Diego Costa to Atletico Madrid at £53m and Nemanja Matic to Man. Utd at £40m)

Match day ticket sales revenue - £74.6m (£66m previous season)

However, the bogus financial figure is indebted to revenues made from Europe which is Champions League or Europa League.

Black Panther made $1.35 billion making it the second highest grossing movie of 2018.

3. JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM :

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which is the sequel to 2015's original Jurassic World film, made a massive $1.30 billion worldwide.

4. INCREDIBLES 2 ($1.24 BILLION):

Pixar's beloved superhero comedy The Incredibles had a sequel released in 2018 after a nearly 15-year wait. 

Incredibles 2 outperformed expectations to earn $1,24 billion worldwide, vastly outdoing The Incredibles which had a total gross of $633 million.

5. VENOM:

A solo Venom movie that wasn't in anyway connected to Spiderman had people in doubt as to its level of success but Venom blew past the record for biggest October opening of all time.

The film directed by Ruben Fleischer and starring Tom Hardy  made well over $855 million worldwide,

Millions of women in India form a 385-mile human chain to protest gender inequality (video)

Millions of women in Kerala, India, came out into the streets and formed a human chain that spanned 385 miles to protest gender inequality

While others were celebrating New year's day by hanging out with loved ones and friends, the women came out on Tuesday to protest gender inequality.

Suvarna Haridas, who took part in the human chain, told BuzzFeed News:

It was electric! The excitement was palpable, everyone truly felt like they were part of a special moment in the history of our tiny wonderful state.

Video: Olamide's protege, Viktoh allegedly assaulted by Police after his performance at the Afrikan Shrine

Nigerian singer and rapper, Viktoh who was signed on to Olamide's YBNL for many years was allegedly assualted by officers of the Lagos State Police command after he performed at the Zlatan's concert at the New Afrikan Shrine Ikeja.

The incident happened last night and in a video recorded by Viktoh himself, the officer responsible for the assault is seen profusely begging and apologising for laying hands on him.

Though the circumstances surrounding the confrontation that led to the assault is still unknown at this time but Viktoh is clearly seen with a swollen and black eye as he confronts the officers.

UNICAL Undergraduate Steals Guardian’s N25 Million Jewelry - Crime -

An unidentified elderly woman aged 85, has been left distraught upon discovery that a young man whom she took in as her own, and trained through school for two years had actually been stealing from her since 1961

The undergraduate of the University of Calabar, reportedly stole his guardian’ jewelry said to be worth a whopping N25m. The student who has been apprehended and arrested by the police, appealed to the aggreieved good “Samaritan woman” to temper justice with mercy

According to a Twitter user who has been identified as Philip Obin, the Unical student was saved from dropping out of school by an 85yr old woman but despite all her good deeds he chose to pay her with evil.

Upon his arrest, the suspect has since been begging the 85yr old woman who started stocking the jewelries since the year 1961, to forgive and allow God punish him, admitting that what he did to the good Samaritan was indeed wrong and evil. The poor woman has been in shock & doesn’t even know what to do/say
