Economist, Charlie Robertson mocks Nigeria for closing its border but 'allowing illegal smuggling of pizza from London'

Kamorudeen who spoke in Kwara State during a familiarisation visit by the Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Olamilekan Adegbite to his privately owned steel manufacturing industry, alleged that the Nigerian market is flooded with substandard steel products as the country's seaports are still porous. 

Charlie who mocked the claims made, sarcastically asked if airports are next as pizza is still illegally smuggled into Nigeria from London. 

He tweeted "Airports next? It’s about time someone stops the illegal smuggling of pizzas in from London"

Recall that former Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh while appearing before a senate committee on agriculture in March 2019 alleged that some Nigerians import pizza from London. According to the former minister, those making the orders usually do so in the morning through the British Airways airlines.

Kate Austin took to Twitter to reveal she will be happy if Chrissy Teigen and Ellen DeGeneres walk her down the aisle as she marries her partner.

She disclosed that her parents have refused to attend and her dad also refused to walk her down the aisle because they don't approve of her lesbian relationship.

President Buhari has reacted to reports of 35 persons reportedly dismissed from the office of the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo. Reports were rife online early this month that the alleged silent war between the President and his Vice had taken a different dimension with the president terminating the appointment of 35 aides of the Vice President. Nigerians were of the opinion that the move was to stiffle Osinbajo and get him to resign.

Reacting to the reports, the President said it is regretable that such a thing can be politicised. According to him

They said 35 people were sacked in Vice President's office.  We just created a Ministry and we reorganized and people are giving it ethnic and political dimension. It is unfortunate'' he said
