FG Orders Release Of Dasuki And Sowore - Politics -

The Federal Government has ordered the release of former National Security Adviser (NSA) Sambo Dasuki and convener of online #RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore.

The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami made this public in a statement on Tuesday.

Malami said the decision to release them was in compliance with the bail granted the two by the court.

“The two defendants are enjoined to observe the terms of their bail and refrain from engaging in any act that is inimical to public peace and national security as well as their ongoing trial which will run its course in accordance with the laws of the land,” Malami said.

A funny video is currently making the rounds on social media.

According to the eyewitness who shot the video, children trooped out to welcome Santa Claus to their neighborhood but were disappointed when he had no gifts for them.

The angry  children subsequently pounced on the Santa and he had to fight back at some point.

Ex-president Goodluck Jonathan confirms attack on his home in Bayelsa

Former President Jonathan has confirmed an attack by unknown armed men near his country home in Otuoke, Bayelsa State in the early hours of today Tuesday December 24th.

LIB earlier today shared the story of how gunmen who rode on a speedboat, landed at Jonathan's country home and engaged the soldiers stationed there in a gun battle. A soldier and three of the gunmen were killed during the attack. Read here.

In a statement issued by his media aide, Ikechukwu Eze, the former president said he was not in his residence during the attack.

Whilst Sky Sports’ Geoff Shreeves was interviewing Jose Mourinho ahead of Tottenham’s crucial clash with Chelsea, Gary Neville caught the camera’s attention with his reaction to David de Gea’s error vs Watford.

In the 49th minute of Manchester United’s Premier League clash with the Hornets, De Gea appeared to let slip of the ball after Ismaila Sarr directed a volley towards goal.

Neville looked as though he couldn’t believe his eyes after seeing De Gea’s shock blunder, Jose Mourinho even joked about the retired star’s inability to control his emotions when it comes to the Red Devils.

THE South East Region Economic Development Company, SEREDEC, has announced progress in efforts of the region to develop infranstructure and social services using private sector initiative.

In it’s three years progress report at that the 4th South East Economic Summit in Enugu on Thursday, SEREDEC itemised it’s achievements to include take-off of Enyimba Industrial city, South East rail network, Eastern medical resort hospital, South East Gas pipeline, among others.

SEREDEC under the chairmanship of former minister for power, Prof Barth Nnaji; stated that progress has continued on the Enyimba Industrial city at Aba, Abia state with the federal government formally licencing the project and a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, entered into with a Chinese Conglomerate.

Mikel, a former club captain, played for us for five seasons from 2011 to 2016 and has signed a three-and-a-half year contract.

Mikel said: “This is a huge honour. Arsenal is one of the biggest clubs in the world. We need to be competing for the top trophies in the game and that’s been made very clear to me in my discussions with Stan and Josh Kroenke, and the senior people from the club.

“We all know there is a lot of work to be done to achieve that but I am confident we’ll do it. I’m realistic enough to know it won’t happen overnight but the current squad has plenty of talent and there is a great pipeline of young players coming through from the academy.”
