Senate President Bukola Saraki, says the drop in Foreign Direct Investment in Nigeria is because most foreign investors have come to understand that ''President Buhari is not the one running this administration.''
A recent report by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development indicated that Ghana has overtaken Nigeria as West Africa’s largest recipient of FDI.
Speaking on AIT this morning, Saraki said on several occasions, President Buhari has shown he is not in charge of this government.
''You know we have said many times that there is a government within the government. It is clear that the private sector doesn’t have the confidence and that is why if you look at the level of direct investment in the country, you will see that it is low. But our own candidate would drive that. He would be able to engage the private sector and inspire confidence to put in investment.” he said
