Seven persons have been confirmed dead in the three storey building that collapsed along Seriki road in Jos, Plateau state yesterday Monday July 15th.

The building said to be owned by a popular herbal doctor, Alhaji Rufai Kabiru, collapsed on Monday evening at about 4pm.

Speaking to newsmen during the rescue operation, Mrs Junni Bala, the Director of Search and Rescue, Plateau State Emergency Management, said seven bodies have been removed from the rumbles. She added that the figure may increase.

“That was the figure as at last night. The figure may increase today because we are continuing with the search and rescue operation this morning,” she said.
