“His services are no longer needed at the White House” - President Trump fires National Security Adviser John Bolton

?His services are no longer needed at the White House? - President Trump fires National Security Adviser John Bolton

President Donald Trump has fired his national security adviser John Bolton, saying that he "strongly disagreed with many of his suggestions."

Trump made the announcement on Twitter on Tuesday, September 10, saying he ordered John to resign and will be naming a new National Security Advisor next week.

The tweet comes just one hour after the White House press office announced that Bolton was scheduled to make an appearance at a Tuesday press briefing alongside Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin.

Minutes after Trump's announcement, Bolton tweeted: "I offered to resign last night and President Trump said, 'Let's talk about it tomorrow.'"
