Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirms Odion Ighalo's debut game

Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirms Odion Ighalo

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed Odion Ighalo will be available for Manchester United's crunch clash with Chelsea on Monday, February 17.

The Manchester United boss disclosed that the Nigerian international who signed on loan on transfer deadline day will travel with the rest of the squad to Stamford Bridge.

'Yeah, he is going to travel with us, Solskjaer told the club's website.

'We will just see his fitness work this week and I think we will get him sharp. We want to integrate him as quickly as we can because, of course, he is desperate to play for us.'

Manchester United are six points behind Chelsea, who currently occupy fourth place and the final Champions League spot in the table. They will be looking at picking up three points to keep the gap close.

Ighalo, 30, a childhood Manchester United fan who joined United in a shock loan move from Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua will earn N62m weekly during his 6-months stay at the club.
