Simi Accepts First Nollywood Movie Role In Kunle Afolayan's Movie, Mokalik - Celebrities
Top singer Simisola Ogunleye is set to make her acting debut.
The Ondo-born singer who signed a contract at Kunle Afolayan’s office in Lagos today will be playing the role of the daughter of a cafeteria owner whose character holds a significant part in the movie plot.
Mokalik, an all-Yoruba cast movie will star Simi, Femi Adebayo, Lateef Adedimeji, Faithia Balogun Williams, Wale Akorede Okunnu, Alabi Yellow (Dayo Akinpelue) and Papi Lolo (Ayo Ogunshina).
The movie is Nollywood’s first single-location shoot.

Masked Husband Attacks His Wife In Ondo, Cuts Off Her 2 Fingers For Money Ritual - Crime -

A 42-year-old man, ldowu Benson has been arrested by police detectives in Oba-ile area, Ondo state for reportedly cutting off two fingers of his wife Kemi for money ritual.
Police source hinted that the suspect on August 3 this year at about 7:30pm put on a mask and armed with cutlass pretended to be an hired assassin invaded his own house and attacked his wife.
Police source hinted that the attack took place at Kardors College Street, off Akure/ Owo expressway, Oba-ile in Akure, the Ondo state capital.
During the attack, the suspect was said to have informed the wife on gaining entry into the house that he was sent to kill her and in the process matcheted her on the head and cut off two of her fingers.
It was learnt that the fingers were chopped off while the wife was trying to fence off the machete from cutting off her head
Vanguard was informed that the suspect even asked the wife the whereabout of her husband during the attack.
The suspect was said to have went away with his wife two fingers which was alleged was for money rituals.
Police source said that the wife who bled profusely until help came from neighbours who heard her distress call.
The incident was reported at the police station by the victim and detectives swung into action only for their findings to reveal that it was an inside job.
Vanguard gathered the suspects telephone dropped inside the room from his pocket while he attacked his wife.
After the attack and having fled with the fingers of his wife, the suspect later returned to the house and was reportedly searching for his telephone.
Report had it that the suspect was invited and their investigation revealed that he masterminded the attack and he confessed to the police.
Contacted, the police image maker Femi Joseph said the suspect confessed attacking the wife blaming it on the devil.
Joseph said the suspect however denied using the chopped off fingers for money rituals.
According to Joseph the suspect was yet to confess where he kept the two fingers of his wife that he chopped off during the attack.
The police spokesperson said the suspect attacked his wife with cutlass and attempted to kill her.
” He ( the suspect) has not confessed to police detectives where he kept the fingers or what he had done with them. He kept saying it was not cut off for money rituals.

Zambian Man Runs Out Of Church To Catch Thief Who Tried To Steal His Bicycle - Crime -
A thief was beaten ruthlessly, by a man whom he attempted to steal a bicycle from which was laid against a church wall.
The unidentified man was caught attempting to steal the bicycle which was parked in Choma area of Zambia.
According to reports, the bicycle owner ran out of the church after spotting thew suspected thief trying to ride his bicycle. The owner beat the young man mercilessly and left him wounded in the process, with blood gushing out from his nose.
The suspect was detained at the church and also said to have undergone serious prayers to cast out the demon of stealing.
