Workers Kill 28-year-old Boss In Ogun State (Photo) - Crime -

Knificent.blogspot.com

A 28 year old farmer, Adeleke Adewusi, has been hacked to death allegedly by his workers at his farm in Alapa community in the state on Monday August 26th.

According to reports, the two accused workers were allegedly hired by a resident of the community identified simply as Ola Sheu to kill their boss whom he was having a running battle with.

It was learnt that the deceased was applying pesticides on his cocoa farm, said to be about one acre, when one of the workers, Femi, suddenly descended on him with a machete. In an attempt to get help for the deep cut he sustained, Adeleke reportedly ran to the second worker identified as Kehinde who also allegedly brought out a machete and joined in the attack. The suspects then fled the scene after they confirmed him dead.

A relative of the deceased, Bisola Adewusi, said members of the vigilante group in the area, apprehended one of the workers while he was running away from the scene with bloodstains on his shirt.

“When the vigilantes queried him about the bloodstains, he said it was as a result of an animal he killed in the bush. They asked for the animal, but he could not present it. The vigilantes became suspicious and probed him further. That was when he opened up. He told them that Ola Sheu contracted him and Kehinde to kill Adeleke. He was applying pesticides on his farm when they attacked him with machetes.
The case was reported to the police at the Owode division. Femi led the vigilantes and the police to arrest Ola Sheu and Kehinde. The third fourth suspect is still on the run. We want the police to handle this case seriously. A breadwinner and promising person has been killed prematurely. He must get justice.”

The grieving father of the deceased, Sheriffdeen Adewusi, said that Femi, Kehinde and Ola Sheu had visited him on his own farm possibly to cover up any track that could link them to the crime.
“My son and I were at Alapa that morning. I was planting cocoa when he passed by and went to apply pesticides on his farm some metres away from mine. After a while, Ola Sheu came to meet me. He greeted me and said he would need some cocoa seeds for planting. I promised to give him whenever he was ready.

Two hours after he left and headed towards Alapa town, Kehinde and Femi who worked for my son came and met me on the farm. They asked me to give them some ripe palm fruits. I told them to climb the tree and pluck as many as they wanted. They left afterwards unknown to me that they were plotting to kill my son.”
He said he was on his way home when he was informed that his son had been killed
“They hid his corpse somewhere on the farm.

Femi, who was caught by the vigilantes, mentioned Ola Sheu as the mastermind. Ola Sheu wanted to take over the farm. The police have arrested him and the workers. They are still searching for the fourth suspect who connived with them. Apart from Ola Sheu, some people had been having a running battle with my son over the farm. They said it belonged to them. My son must not die in vain. He was very hard working. We want justice'' he said
The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP  Abimbola Oyeyemi, is yet to confirm the incident.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has signed an MOU with Europe's largest automotive manufacturer, Volkswagen, to produce a number of its vehicles in the country.

This was part of the events during the visit by the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, to Nigeria on the 31st of August, 2018.

The Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Okey Okechukwu Enelamah, signed on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria, and Thomas Schaefer, CEO and Chairman of Volkswagen's Africa operations signed on behalf of Volkswagen.

Thomas Schaefer and Volkswagen have been working with the DG of the National Automotive Design and Development Council, Jelani Aliyu, and the agency towards the company's entry into Nigeria and the setting up of local production.

Early July this year, the National Automotive Design and Development Council and the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment had hosted Volkswagen and other global OEMs in Abuja.

Aliyu mentioned, "This MOU with Volkswagen is a progressive development as a result of that earlier engagement, and we are particularly excited because the company is very committed to new applicable technology and the local production of modern, safe and energy efficient vehicles which would be optimized for our environment."

"With Volkswagen, we have a strong stakeholder who understands the huge potential in the Nigerian market, and we are a perfect match to the company's efforts towards innovative mobility services which would both compliment and boost our economic structure."

Volkswagen has recently started vehicle production in the East African country of Rwanda this year.

Nigeria provides an even larger market, both within the country and as a gateway to the West African region.

Top 5 Unheard Truth About Donald Trump, The US President - Foreign Affairs -

Donald J. Trump is unarguably well known over the world as a controversial personality than his role as the US President. Although there is much news, and article etc, that have been published about him, especially by different media he tagged “fake news”.

The most popular facts about him can be summarized as being brutal with words, yes, you heard that right?. Without further delay, join me on a ride deep into the shark cage

The secrets of Trump so inconspicuous to many.

1. Constant Media Stunt :

One of Trump's ideologies is that any publicity is a good publicity irrespective of what people think about it. His belief is well justified by Shakespeare’s famous quote paraphrased thus: There is nothing either good or bad, all is perspective. And perspective is a reality.

In most of his books, he always emphasizes that his readers should ensure the media is talking about them at any opportunity given ― even at the cost of pulling something not acceptable in the society.

2. Publicly Humiliated The 105th Mayor Of Newyork

During his business days in Manhattan, He had numerous feud with the Mayor of New York, Edward Irving Koch in 1986, the fight was so tense. He claimed the governor was jealous of his achievement with the skating rink he built, which the state has been trying to build for a considerable number of years.

3. His Grandfather Was A Drug Addict

Before you judge me on this one, he clearly states this fact in his book.

Trump father’s name is Fred Trump, and his parents (Trump’s grandparent) were from Sweden ― making Trump ancestors immigrants. His father (Fred) however was born in New Jersey in 1905.

According to Trump in his first book Art of The Deal, his grandfather was a hard liver and hard drinker who died when his father was eleven years old.

4. Dominate People For Fun

Right from his days as a businessman, Trump is fond of giving special treatment to people he believes are his strong supporters; especially those that accept they are inferior to him. However, he shows public love and attention to whosoever acknowledge to be inferior to him.

5. Contract Marriages

His marriage philosophy is summarized as “I love you, please sign this.” Such an approach might sound so weird, but don't get too happy. Read further.

He has divorced twice and all of his wives signed a prenuptial agreement with him before marriage.

Prenuptial agreement is a legal congruity between couples stating how much they are entitled to from their partner's wealth in case they divorce.

Don’t just think about doing same, I doubt if it will work here in Nigeria.

CRYING POLITICS WORKS?

Why do politicians cry though?

''I can swear with my life that no politician has ever gifted me money'' - Seyilaw reacts to controversy over his newly acquired apartment

Knificent.blogspot.com

Comedian, Seyilaw has reacted to the post by Nigerian journalist, Oma Akutugba, where he called on the police to investigate Seyi's source of income following the recent testimony he shared online about his newly acquired house. Seyi in a post shared on his IG page with photos of his new apartment, said he had only N63, 000  prior to when he bought the apartment. Read here.

Akatugba then took to his twitter handle to say that the comedian's testimony is misleading and that in a saner clime, the police would have been investigating Seyi's claim of having such a meager sum in his account before acquiring such a tasteful apartment. Read here.

ReactIng to Akatugba's call, Seyilaw in an interview with Punch, said he welcomes the calls for an investigation
''I feel that it is good that Nigerians are asking questions. If someone asks the police to investigate me, I think it is a good thing but I think that there are people we should demand that from. We should demand more of that from our politicians. If someone demands that the police should investigate, it is not a bad thing. However, one thing people should know is that I am one of the very few entertainers that can swear on his life that no politician has gifted me money. Everything that I own today came from my sweat. One of the questions the journalist who called me out on social media should have asked is, ‘have I fully paid for the house?’ He did not ask me and that is part of his stupidity and where he made mistakes''he said

When asked how he was able to afford the apartment, the comedian said
“If I invested about N15m in my Lagos show and made about N20m, I do not think I have made too much profit. If I invested about N5m in my Ibadan show and made about N9m, I do not think I have made too much profit. It means that I made a profit of about N9m. I also did a show in Port-Harcourt and right now, I am planning another show in Lagos. When I said that I lost some money at the shows I did in the UK and Dublin, I did not mean that I lost everything I invested. The reason I said I was so broke that I had N63,000 in my account was because  I had paid for the hall I would use for my Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja and Port-Harcourt shows among other expenses and it ran into millions of naira. These were investments that cost me about N20m. If I invested N20m for my shows and had N63,000 in my account, does that mean that I do not have money? I spoke about my landed property in the post but no one referred to it.
I would not stop posting my testimonies on social media. I have been on a tour with PAL Pension, and my duty was to motivate students. The journalist that made that statement about my post is someone that knows me. He could have messaged me privately to explain how I was able to buy a house based on my testimony but he did not do that. That is the way a journalist is supposed to ask questions. I repeat it again and I swear on my blood and that of my mother’s that I have never been gifted money by any politician. I dare any politician to come out and say they have given me money. In fact, I have been the one that have helped most rich people I know because I could do a show for them and they would make me do another three for free. Am I not the one helping them? I have helped more people than they have helped me. I am not one of those celebrities that do good things in front of the camera''.
