Shocking footage from Typoon Jebi shows heavy winds upturning cars (photos/video)

11 people have been reported dead and over 600 have been injured as the powerful Typhoon Jedi leaves a trail of destruction across Japan.

The deadly Typhoon Jebi is Japan's most powerful storm in 25 years. It has left a trail of damage to infrastructure, ripping off roofs, overturning vehicles and cutting power.

Of the 11 deaths, eight people died in the western prefecture of Osaka, including four men, who fell from upstairs or the roofs of their houses after apparently being hit by strong winds, broadcaster NHK reported. Three others died after they were hit by flying objects, the report said.

Also, as a result of the deadly Typhoon Jebi, a major international airport in western Japan has been closed, with thousands of people evacuated, BBC reports. Kansai airport, a major transport hub serving Osaka, Kobe and Kyoto, was cut off when an ocean tanker hit and damaged its bridge to the mainland. 

Kansai International Airport is built on a man-made island and is linked to the mainland by the bridge. But the airport's bridge to the mainland was damaged when a tanker hit it. The tanker was unmoored by the strong winds of Typhoon Jebi and drifted into the bridge. Runways were also flooded at Kansai airport.

The airport remained closed on Wednesday, leading to the cancellation of 162 flights, and it is still unknown when it will be back to normal operation.

Pastor arrested for raping his 7-year-old daughter in Cross River state

 

Pastor Daniel Udoh,  founder of "Jesus is a Barrister Church" in Akapabuyo, Cross River State, has been arrested for defiling his 7-year-old daughter. 

 

 

Udoh was paraded alongside 79 crime suspects at the Command Headquarters in Calabar.

He admitted to committing the crime adding that he was tempted. 

 

 

His daughter is receiving treatment in an undisclosed medical facility for the bruises she got from the act.

A young man was arrested by men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps for vandalizing all the fancy lights and pulling down statue of Dr. Akanu Ibiam at Abacha round about, Gunning Road, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.  

 

 

According to an eye witness, the man came to the vicinity with Monday hammer and other instruments, climbed the artificial water fall and commenced the destruction. 

 

 

 

 

Before he started, he proclaimed that evil concoctions and charms was buried in the round about before the fancy lights were installed, hence, Abakpa traders and in deed Abakaliki people were held to a ransome by the evil forces in the state from progressing and even asking for their rights. 

 

 

It was gathered that he removed some materials from the ground and assured the onlookers who were majorly traders in the market that, their liberation is assured having removed the obstacles on their way. 

 

 

 

 

He pleaded with the people not to worry about what will befall him as he was sent by the Holy Spirit and that he will not be abandoned by his sender.

 

 

It will be recalled that President Mohammadu Buhari on November 14th, 2017, commissioned the statue of Late father and leader, Late Ezeogo Dr. Akanu Ibiam in Ebonyi.
