‘My Brother Died In My Arms Due To LUTH's Negligence’, Man Reveals. Photos - Health -

Knificent.blogspot.com .

A heartbroken man has narrated how his brother passed away at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) due to the alleged negligence of medical personnel. According to the bereaved identified as Yommy, his brother named Segun (pictured below) died at the hospital despite all the screams from him that the case was an emergency.

He alleged that the hospital officials ignored him for hours and later attended to his brother but by that time, it was already late. His brother passed away in his arms.

Read below what the heartbroken man shared on Facebook;
All the General Hospital in Nigeria is nothing but a dead zone center where every patient is not sure of coming back alive. Their nonchalant attitude killed my brother. We got to navy town hospital they said no facilities to treat him that we should go to Lagos university teaching hospital.(Luth) we got there around after six(6).

We were shouting emergency emergency emergency nobody answered not even the security were moved. Then I call a matron working there she was off duty but did her best to call some people on duty. Despite are call they didn't answer.  my brother was struggling for breath in held him telling him the we never plan to depart this way.

He was calling my name and other peoples name. I was shouting doctor pls nurse pls don't let my brother die. they didn't answer even people around that brought patients they said that is how they use to do.

All efforts was abortive my brother struggled for more than 5 hours. It was even inside the small shuttle bus inside the hospital compound they gave him drip. All what they requested for we gave them. It was past 8 my brother stop struggling he became weak couldnt breath again was just moving his legs.

That was when they brought their bed for us to put him Inside it was not up to 10 minutes I was asked to control myself that my brother is gone.

They killed my brother because he wasn't given attention despite having money to purchase all they requested for. My GOD will judge them all. Segun rest on and sleep well I will forever miss you. Sun re.

Cultists chase new recruit to his home and attack his entire family and neighbors after he ran off (photos)

Cultists chase new recruit to his home and attack his entire family and neighbors after he ran off (photos)

The police in Lagos state have arrested a group of cultists that were carrying out new initiations into a newly formed  secret confraternity named " THE NEW BLACK MOVEMENT OF AFRICA", a breakaway faction of the AIYE cult group, at about 12am  at Jakande estate, Ajah Lagos yesterday Thursday August 6th.

A statement by the command's spokesperson, CSP Chike Oti, says one of the  recruits who couldn't endure the torture and other initiation rites he was subjected, bolted for his dear life and ran to his mother's house  at Jakande estate, Ajah Lagos. Miffed by the apparent show of cowardice by the intending recruit and the fact that he may give them up to the police, the group chased him to his mother's residence and began to beat up everybody in sight, at same time, robbing residents of the estate who were woken up by their noise.
Unfortunately for the group, the mother of the runaway boy, sneaked out of the house and a placed a distress  call to the Divisional Police Officer in charge of  Ilasan division, CSP Onyinye Onwuamaegbu who led a contingent of policemen to the estate and arrested eleven members of the group, all males;  namely, Godwin Victor, Benjamin Daniel, Saviour Anioffiong, Lawal Ibrahim, Shola Odekunle, Sodiq Olawuyi, Segun Fagbohun, Bashiru Lawal, Chinedu Francis, Wahab Adams and Ifarinde Adeniyi.

The police team recovered the following items from the suspects, viz: one locally made shotgun, four live cartridges, three cutlasses, one sledge hammer, ten horse whips and assorted charms.
In a related development, two notorious cultists, Rasheed Yusuf aka Radical and Abel Okwo, were arrested during a supremacy  battle  between the Aiye and Eiye confraternities at Akerele street, Oworonshoki. Meanwhile, the said Abel Okwo was charged to court two months ago by the Command for cult related offences only to come back to terrorise the town the more.
The Commissioner of Police,  Lagos State, CP Edgal Imohimi, vows that the Command will not relent in its efforts at ridding the state of members of these unlawful societies. He therefore calls on parents to hold heart to heart talks with their children, male and female alike, on the evil consequences of belonging to cult groups. He thanks Lagosians for always providing the Command with information about the activities of these outlaws and solicits for more cooperation.

Nigerian parents arrested in the US after their son dies during compulsory 40-day fast
The parents of a 15-year-old boy were charged to court after their son died of starvation last week in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, following a 40-day fast.

Kehinde Omosebi, 49, who claims to be a pastor, and his wife Titilayo Omosebi, 47, were charged Tuesday in Sauk County with causing the child’s death through neglect. They were also charged with child neglect causing great bodily harm after another son, 11, was found alive but extremely emaciated.

The children's father told police that the family were observing a religious fast which began on July 17.

Nigerian parents arrested in the US after their son dies during compulsory 40-day fast

Reedsburg Police Chief Timothy Becker said police had to break through padlocked doors to reach the boys at a residence on Alexander Avenue on the west side of the city after Kehinde Omosebi alerted them on Sunday that his son had died there. Once inside, the police immediately encountered the distinct smell of a corpse, he said.

Becker added:
It wasn’t a fast, it was neglect because the statutes make it clear that you have to provide necessary food (to children).
When you lock your kids in the house and the father is the only one who can leave, it stops being a fast and starts being starvation and neglect.

Officers found the 15-year-old boy’s body in a chair in a bedroom, according to Becker. The criminal complaint said the boy was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head. The boy’s backbones and ribs were visible under his skin, it said.

Becker said:
It wasn’t like the kid was healthy on Thursday and then died on Friday. His death was a long process and his parents did nothing to stop it. That’s the most concerning thing about this.

The Omosebis’ 11-year-old son was so weak when police arrived that he couldn’t walk out of the residence on his own and had a hard time talking, according to the criminal complaint. The boy was holding onto a Bible and an envelope that police said contained pamphlets about death, which were handed out to officers when they arrived at the residence, the complaint said.

Police also found a handwritten letter in the residence with the boy's signature on it. The letter was addressed to "Lawyers of Sauk County Circuit Court" and included statements such as "The hunger is too much. Please help me now so I may eat," "I can’t continue in such a life with no food" and "If I don’t get food now I’ll probably die of hunger."

Becker said the boy was initially taken to Reedsburg Area Medical Center but was later moved to the American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, where he has been placed in protective custody.
