President Buhari appoints Abike Dabiri as chairman of the National Diaspora Commission

President Buhari has appointed Abike Dabiri-Erewa as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Diaspora Commission.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki, disclosed this while reading a letter to this effect from President Buhari, during plenary on November 6th. President Buhari is seeking legislative approval for the appointment.

A woman, identified simply as Mrs. Mabel, has been arrested in Lagos after she tortured her 14-year old housemaid, locked her inside the toilet and went for church service at Baruwa Estate in Ipaja area of Lagos where they reside.
It was gathered that the torture had been going on to the extent that their neighbours were aware of the inhuman treatment meted on the victim.
However, on 4th November, 2018, the act was exposed by one of their neighbours who reported the dastardly act to the Ipaja Police Division; the police went there and rescued the victim.

The students have drowned in a river while taking selfie, according to reports.
The students identified as Ms Sharlet Atieno and Mr Derick Ouka planned their usual Saturday outing to Siaya town, Kenya, little did they know the tragedy that lay ahead.
This was the second time the pair and two other friends — Beatrice Stephanie Atieno and Steven Omondi — had planned for a photo shoot on the banks of River Yala.

Pandemonium broke out earlier today between a driver and a bus conductor along Lekki/Victoria Island expressway over issue of payment.

According to reports, the driver (in red polo) refused to pay the conductor N1,500 for yesterday's job which resulted into a heated argument and later degenerated into a fight.

The duo took the fight which reportedly started from the bus seriously as they landed in a gutter filled with dirty water, yet they didn't stop after being left by the residents and passersby to fight till the end.

The winner of the street fight was not revealed as Facebook user Collins Edemenya who witnessed the shocking incident captured them.
