(Photos) – ‘Shameless’ Manchester United stars spotted laughing during City defeat

Two of Manchester United’s biggest stars angered fans this evening by laughing during United’s 3-1 defeat to Manchester City in the Manchester derby.

Alexis Sanchez and Juan Mata were spotted laughing by eagle-eyed viewers during injury time in the first-half.

The Red Devils were second best for the entire game and Jose Mourinho’s men conceded only 12 minutes into the tie when David Silva gave City the lead in the heated derby.

Goals from Sergio Aguero and Ilkay Gundogan did further damage in the second half, in what was certainly a day to forget for United.

Manchester City star Sergio Aguero is now his club’s all-time leading scorer in Manchester Derby matches in the Premier League era.

The Argentina international netted his eighth goal against Manchester United today in a 3-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium, going level with Red Devils legend Wayne Rooney.

There’s no question Aguero has been one of City’s best players ever since he joined the club in the 2011/12 season, as he’s gone on to help the team win three Premier League titles and other major honours.

Read on as we run through the ten statistically best performers in the country right now, with Manchester City unsurprisingly dominating WhoScored‘s list.

Five of the ten on the list are from Pep Guardiola’s side, despite them only being two points clear at the top of the table so far.

We also have a couple of Liverpool players, and surprise names from Tottenham and Everton also make the top ten, with no sign of anyone from Manchester United or Arsenal…

10) Gylfi Sigurdsson

In at number ten is Everton midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, who, to be fair on him, is having a pretty good season.

The Icelandic playmaker has already weighed in with five goals and two assists from midfield for the Toffees, earning him a highly respectable 7.38 rating overall.

9) Hugo Lloris

Now this is a bit of a weird one, much as Hugo Lloris has been a fine goalkeeper down the years.

This has hardly been the best season from the Tottenham goalkeeper, but there he is with a 7.39 rating to put him 9th in WhoScored’s list.
