Arsenal forward, Aaron Ramsey has agreed a five-year deal with Juventus worth £36m and will join the Italian champions on a free transfer at the end of the season.

The midfielder has been discussing a move for weeks and will leave Arsenal after 10 years at the club. It had been clear the Wales international would move in the summer and Juventus had been the frontrunners to secure the 28-year-old’s signature.

Ramsey will be paid around £140,000 a week (£7.2m a season), making him Juventus’s second-highest earner behind Cristiano Ronaldo but ahead Paulo Dybala and Douglas Costa.

Opposition candidate, Felix Tshisekedi has won the Democratic Republic of Congo's tightly contested presidential vote, the electoral commission says.  

The provisional result puts him ahead of rival opposition candidate Martin Fayulu who has denounced it as a fraud. France has also questioned the outcome.

If confirmed, Felix Tshisekedi will be the first opposition challenger to win since the DR Congo gained independence. Current President Joseph Kabila is stepping down after 18 years in office.

Thirteen policemen attached to the Anti-Cultism Unit in Lagos have been arrested and are currently being investigated for unprofessional conduct, raiding a Lagos club and dispossessing customers of valuables, money.

The State Police Command’s Spokesperson, Mr. Chike Oti, said the policeman were arrested following a publication which exposed their unprofessional act.
“The attention of the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Imohimi Edgal has been drawn to the publication on pages 4 and 5 of the Punch Newspaper publication of Wednesday, January 9, 2019 with a headline “CCTV footage exposes policemen who raided Lagos night club ”
“Sequel to the publication, the CP directed that all the policemen involved in the operation be invited for questioning.

Professor Wole Soyinka says fake news has become a threat to mankind and that it may cause World War 3. 

Soyinka who is a panelist at BBC News‘ ‘Countering Fake News’ symposium said this in Abuja today said, “I’ve said this before that fake news may cause World War 3 and the fake news will be started by a Nigerian.”

He said it was unfortunate that many false statements have been attributed to him.  
“During the last Presidential election I was quoted as saying that it serves President Jonathan right for marrying an illiterate. Sometimes some people quote me as saying if you vote for a particular candidate, your mother is a goat or your father is a gorilla”.
Soyinka said last year he saw his obituary many times on social media causing many people to call his phone.

For the second time in a row, Japan has topped the list of the world's most powerful passports. This is according to the Henley Passport Index, which periodically measures the access each country's travel document affords. 
Japan retains its top spot as the world's most travel-friendly passport thanks to the document's access to 190 countries. Below is a full list of the world's top ten which contains no African country.

Founder of One Love family, Satguru Maharaj Ji in his 2019 prophecies has revealed who will win the upcoming 2019 Presidential election billed to take place on Saturday February 16th 2019.

Maharaj Ji while addressing journalists at a press conference in his Maharaj Ji village in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital said he saw President Buhari winning the election with more votes than other candidates.
