Kubrat Pulev Fined, Banned From Boxing After Kissing Female Reporter (Photos) - Sports -

Heavyweight Kubrat Pulev has been fined, banned from boxing and also ordered to take sexual harassment prevention classes after kissing a female reporter, MySportDab reports.

The Bulgarian heavyweight, 38, kissed Jennifer Ravalo without consent when she was interviewing him following his victory in a bout in March.

The California State Athletic Commission has reportedly ordered Pulev to pay a £1,935 fine and he has been told to attend sexual harassment prevention classes before he can fight again in North America.

Should he complete the suggested course and meet the other conditions by July 22, he can then apply to have his boxing licence reinstated.

Pulev and his lawyers argued in the hearing that Ravalo did not appear to be very upset about the incident because she joined the boxer and his team at a post-match celebration later that night.

Callum Hudson-Odoi Wants Hazard’s No.10 Jersey If He Leaves For Madrid - Sports -

England and Chelsea wonderkid, Odoi is one of the most sought-after talents in Europe and his contract situation is an uneasy position for his club ahead of talks

Callum Hudson-Odoi increasingly wants to stay at Chelsea and assurances he would be the man to replace Eden Hazard would help to ensure that he renews his contract, Goal understands.

Hazard looks likely to depart for Real Madrid after he confirmed in an interview after the final Premier League game of the season at Leicester on Sunday that he ‘has made his decision’ regarding his future.

Madrid have yet to agree a fee with the Blues for their Belgian talisman as they haggle over a price between €100 million (£87m/$113m) and €130m (£113m/$146m).

The 18-year-old’s desire to want a move away has softened after Maurizio Sarri gave him four Premier League starts in a row before he suffered an Achilles tendon rupture against Burnley in April.

Chelsea’s decision to not begin talks with Hudson-Odoi, and regarding other club issues, may relate to the transfer ban, which is likely to affect negotiations with several of their players.

Do you think chelsea should give him the shirt to get his loyalty for the club?

MTN Loses 2m Subscribers In 3 Months - Phones -

By Samson Akintaro

Dominant telecom operator in the country, MTN, lost 2.09 million subscribers between January and March this year, New Telegraph has learnt.

The telco, which had 67.1 million active subscribers at the end of 2018, ended March 2019 with 65 million active customers, according to statistics released by Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

However, the decline in number of subscribers could not stop the company from generating N282 billion from voice and data services in the first three months of the year, as revealed in its recently released Q1 result.

As at the end of March, MTN still remained the largest telecom operator by subscriber in the country with 37 per cent share of the market.

The telecom industry’s data for March released yesterday by NCC showed that total active subscriptions across the mobile networks rose marginally by 156,335 to reach 173.4 million as against 173.2 million recorded in February.

While MTN lost 531,283 million active subscriptions in the month, other GSM operators, Globacom, Airtel and 9mobile gained more subscriptions.

New injury forces Serena Williams to withdraw from 2019 Italian Open

Twenty-three time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams has withdrawn from the Italian Open after suffering a knee injury.

The American, 37, was set to play sister Venus Williams in the second round but said she would be "concentrating on rehab" instead. "I look forward to seeing you all at the French Open and next year in Rome," she said.

Williams has also struggled with injury pulling out of the Miami Open at the third-round stage in March, after a viral illness prevented her from competing in Indian Wells. The French Open tournament kicks off on 26 May and Williams is chasing her fourth title, while Wozniacki, a former Australian Open champion, has never gone beyond the quarter-final stage.
