Did the finale of Game of Thrones live up to expectation? Nigerians react

After eight seasons, 73 episodes and a much-debated flurry of plot developments, "Game of Thrones" aired its season finale last night and the world has mixed feelings about it.

Inevitably, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) was forced to choose between love and morality, realizing that the dangerous tendencies of his queen and lover, Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), wouldn't be satisfied by her demolition of Kings Landing.

The finale saw Brandon Stark becoming the new king and fans of the show are divided....

Woman who married a bridge narrates what it was like marrying her "handsome, strong and sturdy" partner

A woman who married a bridge in 2013 has relived her wedding to the inanimate object while also revealing what their 6-year-marriage has been like.

On the day Jodi Rose, from Australia, got married to Le Pont du Diable Bridge, which means The Devil's Bridge, she wore a wedding dress like every normal bride and had more than a dozen guests present for her "big day". 

Ms Rose chose that particular bridge in Céret, south of France after travelling the world, making recordings of sounds made by bridge cable vibrations. After she settled on the bridge as the one for her, she planned a wedding.

More than that, Messi is also the top assister in La Liga, providing 13 assists throughout the season.

He is also on course to win the European Golden Shoe for the third consecutive year and sixth in his career. He has scored four goals more than nearest challenger Kylian Mbappe.

With a tally of 50 in 49 games in all competitions, this is the fifth season in which Messi has reached at least half a century of goals.

Last night, WBC heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder destroyed Breazeale by blasting him with a crushing right hand that knocked him out in the first round at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The Bronze Bomber won his ninth WBC title defence in colossal style in front of a cheering crowd in New York City. Wilder’s pulverizing punch to the side of Breazeale’s head left the challenger flat on his back.  

Breazeale tried to get up, but referee Harvey Dock waved an end to their scheduled 12-round bout when a wobbled Breazeale reached his feet. Dock stopped their “Showtime Championship Boxing” main event at 2:17 of the first round.

In barely just two years after the confirmation of his five-year tenure as the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Engr. Saleh Dunoma has been relieved of his duty.

The sack of Dunoma has come as a rude shock to many.

Dunoma had until recently been touring the airports with the Minister of State for Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika to commission some airport projects.

The duo had along with other chief executive officers were in Lagos on Friday and Saturday for commissioning of projects, while they also travelled together on the same day to Ibadan and Benin for the continuation of the commissioning of some projects at the airports.

A statement by the Deputy Director Press and Public Affairs, Ministry of Transportation (Aviation), Mr. James Odaudu has however stated that President Muhammadu Buhari had approved the removal of Dunoma.

In his replacement, the government has approved the appointment of Rabiu Hamisu Yadudu. Yadudu is the current Director of Airport Operations in the same agency.

Odaudu said that the appointment of Yadudu takes immediate effect.

R&B singer August Alsina is down with allergies that left his face swollen but he went on Instagram to joke about his face busting out courtesy of Hollywood actor Will Smith punching him.

Before switching up the caption, August Alsina initially admitted allergies caused his facial reactions.

A few weeks back, Alsina’s “Nunya” cover sparked speculation about possibly having a low-key romance with Will’s wife Jada Pinkett.

In the video for August Alsina’s cover ‘Nunya’, the New Orleans singer is having a text conversation with a woman named ‘Koren’, which fans have pointed out is Jada Pinkett Smith’s middle name. In the song, August wants more from his girlfriend, giving her time to make him a priority. At a point in the video, he sings the line “You’re just an actress putting on a show,” and a GIF of Jada Pinkett appears on the screen After the two references to Jada, fans are convinced that this song is exposing August and Jada’s affair.
