This turn of events was caused by the gentleman who was ready to spend the rest of his life with his partner and to prove this, he decided to propose to her and even show the world how serious he is by doing so in a public place but unfortunately for him, he forgot the ring he was going to use.

He had already bent the knee and was ready to pop the question when he discovered that he was without the ring he was going to place on the finger of his partner.

Putting his hands on his heads in dismay, the gentleman is seen begging the lady as onlookers ask her to say ‘yes’ while the photographer who was meant to capture the lovely moment continued with his job regardless of the situation on ground.

Persistent NHIS Crises Analysed By Health Minister Isaac Adewole - Health -

The poor structure of the Act establishing Nigeria’s Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) is the major cause of various crises that have trailed the scheme over the years, the Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, has said.


The minister also linked the inability of the scheme to cover majority of Nigerians, more than a decade after its establishment, to loopholes in Act.

He insisted the Act should have made health insurance compulsory for all Nigerians.

“The Act made insurance voluntary and that is why we are supporting National Assembly to repeal the Act and put in place a comprehensive package. Let it be comprehensive because it cannot be voluntary. There is need for review of the Act and it is ongoing.

I can tell you today that no Executive Secretary of NHIS has completed a full term in office without being sacked or suspended, apart from Mohammed Dogo, the pioneer ES, so it’s not just about this administration,” Adewole said.

He noted that social media has made information readily accessible and available. It made things look as if it is only now that these things are happening, it used to happen before. We are asking the presidential panel to take a more holistic look at the NHIS, to review the Act of the scheme.

IPOB threatened to kidnap us — Southeast governors

The Southeast governors have cried out over alleged plans by members of the proscribed secessionist group, the Inidenious People of Biafra IPOB, to kidnap them. Chairman of the South East Governors Forum, David Umahi of Ebonyi State, made this known when he spoke at Nwaegu Military Cantonment in Abakaliki during the flag-off of Operation  Egwu Eke 111 by the Nigerian army 82 Division yesterday January 6th.

The governor said the threat was received via text message sent to his wife.

“The GOC, you are coming at a time we had note from our brothers and sisters of IPOB sending text messages that there will be no elections and insulting the leaders, particularly the south east governors. Just few days back they sent text message to my wife that the five governors of south east would be kidnapped and that their security would overpower that of the governors and that after ransom are paid, they would kill them and kill themselves.

“That is laughable, as a leader in the zone, I must say that some of their complaints are genuine, but the approach is very bad, that is why the leaders of south east are not in support of their approach.
