"I spent the last hour crying" - Keke Palmer reacts to

Actress Keke Palmer has reacted to R.Kelly's alleged abuse of young women and underage girls.
The Akeelah and the Bee actress, who is R. Kelly's mentee, put their relationship aside and called out her mentor for his actions.
She said God gave him a gift but he slapped God in the face by using it to harm people. She went on to urge others to speak against evil and take a stand.
She wrote:

Just finished Surviving R. Kelly and I have spent the last hour crying. As a student of R. Kelly’s for the time I was and having been around his light and understanding the obstacles he overcame as a child to actually be birthed into the musical genius he is today... All to put others through the same darkness he was running from is the most disheartening thing to accept. Many people experience hardships and do not allow themselves to find freedom through their passion enough to shine a light. R. Kelly received that grace from God. God blessed him to vindicate his childhood shortcomings and yet still he has slapped God in the face by his actions towards these women. I am hurt and saddened because he could have been a blessing to these women but instead he repeatedly took advantage and that I can not accept. I will stand by my sisters because that’s simply what’s right and what I hope discontinues this behavior in anyone. We have to be good to eachother, not all of us accept the light but those of us that do must be responsible!!!! We can not take advantage of each other or accept when someone else does. ?

Multiple women have accused R&B legend R.Kelly of sexual misconduct but he has repeatedly denied those allegations.

Chief Daddy becomes third Nollywood movie to top N300 million at the box office

EbonyLife Films Chief Daddy has become the third Nollywood film in the history of Nigerian cinema to break the elusive N300 million barrier. After just 24 days of release, the Niyi Akinmolayan film clocked N301,815,569 at the box-office to solidify its position as the third-highest-grossing Nollywood movie of all time.

Although Chief Daddy is some distance behind The Wedding Party (N453 million) and The Wedding Party 2(N502 million), the pace of its performance suggests that there is every possibility that it will close the gap considerably. After 24 days, The Wedding Party had grossed slightly more at N303,372,409, suggesting that if Chief Daddy’s run continues into February it may emulate these two blockbusters.

Is Securing 2nd Term More Important Than Nigeria’s Security? -Atiku Asks Buhari -

Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says President Muhammadu Buhari has failed lift the morale of soldiers fighting Boko Haram insurgents.

In a statement on Wednesday, Abubakar criticised Buhari over his absence at the funeral of five air force officers who died in a helicopter crash while providing support to troops in the north-east.

They were buried at the national military cemetery in Abuja on Tuesday.

The former vice-president said Buhari’s failure to attend the funeral is “part of a pattern of unpatriotic behaviour demonstrated” by him.

“At a time when the morale of our soldiers should be lifted up as they face the difficult task of defeating the terrorists who are threatening our national security, I find it most regrettable that President Muhammadu Buhari, despite being in Abuja, chose not to attend the funeral of the five airforce officers who died in a helicopter crash while prosecuting the war on terror,” he said in the statement.

Mohamed Salah?wins 2018 CAF African Player of the Year for the second time in a row

Mohamed Salah has been named CAF African Player of the Year for the second successive year.
The Liverpool forward held off competition from teammate Sadio Mane and Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to land the award. A poll of CAF’s national teams’ head coaches and technical directors, members of the governing body’s technical and development committee and a panel of media experts selected Salah as the continent’s outstanding footballer in 2018.
The Egyptian received the accolade at a ceremony in Dakar, Senegal, on Tuesday evening, where he was also included in the Africa Best XI for 2018 alongside Mane and Naby Keita.  He scored 44 times during a 2017-18 campaign in which he helped his club reach the Champions League final, before then netting twice at last summer’s World Cup.
A further 16 goals in 29 appearances across all competitions for Liverpool have followed so far this season, while Salah also contributed four goals in three Africa Cup of Nations qualification outings for his country in 2018.  The 26-year-old’s performances throughout the year also saw him retain the BBC African Footballer of the Year prize and finish sixth in the Ballon d’Or standings.
