Preacher Franklin Graham tells Mayor Pete Buttigieg to repent for being gay

Evangelical preacher Franklin Graham has told South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg that he should "repent" for the "sin" of being gay.

Franklin Graham, who is the son of late evangelical preacher Billy Graham, made this statement on Wednesday. 

It all began on Monday when presidential candidate Buttigieg said during a CNN town hall that "God has no political party". He said this while speaking about his religious views as well as his sexual orientation.

Buttigieg said:

It can be challenging to be a person of faith who's also part of the LGBTQ community and yet, to me, the core of faith is regard for one another.

And part of God's love is experienced, according to my faith tradition, is in the way that we support one another and, in particular, support the least among us.

When asked how he plans to unite Christians, Buttigieg said his devotion to faith is expressed through his humility and his concern for the weaker segments of society.

He explained:

Explaining his reasons for running, Mr. Biden began by recalling the white supremacist march through Charlottesville, Va., in 2017 and a counterprotest, and Mr. Trump’s comment that there were “very fine people on both sides.” In that moment, Mr. Biden said, “I knew the threat to our nation was unlike any I’d ever seen in my lifetime.”

“We are in the battle for the soul of this nation,” Mr. Biden said. “I believe history will look back on four years of this president and all he embraces as an aberrant moment in time. But if we give Donald Trump eight years in the White House, he will forever and fundamentally alter the character of this nation, who we are, and I cannot stand by and watch that happen.”

Biden’s first major campaign event is set for Monday in Pittsburgh, where he is expected to speak about rebuilding an inclusive middle class, according to NBC News. Biden will then launch a multistate campaign tour with a focus on states with early voting, where he will hash out his vision for closing the divides that are driving Americans apart, NBC reported.

Jayanath Colombage, who is now a counter-terrorism expert at the Pathfinder Foundation, confirmed the arrest today. 

Well educated and successful brothers, Inshaf and Ilham Ibrahim were responsible for the bomb blasts in luxury Shangri-La and Cinnamon Grand hotels in Colombo on Easter Sunday. The brothers detonated their suicide vests as guests were eating breakfast.

Anthony Joshua has finally reacted after news of his opponent Jarrell Miller failing three drugs test before their anticipated bout on June 1st, MySportDab reports.

Veteran actor, Nicolas Cage’s estranged wife, Erika Koike is demanding spousal support from the star, despite the fact, their marriage only lasted for four days.

The 'National Treasure' star tied the knot with Erika Koike - who he had been dating for nearly a year in Las Vegas last month 

Four days after their marriage, the Hollywood actor asked for an annulment, claiming he was drunk at the time and "lacked understanding of his actions in marrying [Koike] to the extent that he was incapable of agreeing to the marriage".

Now, his estranged wife of four days is demanding spousal support from him over claims she has lost job opportunities during their year-long relationship and she also alleges that her reputation has been damaged by the legal fees.
