Nigeria’s tallest man: How my height have hindered me from finding love

Think you’re tall? Wait until you stand beside Afeez Agoro Oladimeji. Unofficially regarded as the tallest man in Nigeria, Oladimeji carries a burden of height, which he says initially denied him of relationships and caused him so much inconveniencies. However, the 44-year-old is cool now and tells Adeola Ogunlade that the government should consider him as the nation’s Tourism Ambassador.

His arrival stirred the whole gathering and literally put all proceedings on hold. Heads turned, mouths opened wide and eyes popped, almost out of their sockets. It was the closest thing they had seen to the biblical Goliath – except that this one wasn’t barrel-chested like the holy book had made them believe. A 7-footer of a man? Surely they weren’t dreaming, as they took another look at the specimen again.

He had to bend almost doubly – albeit, with some help – to come into the hall, before making straight for the podium. There, he stood for a brief awkward moment, as organisers of the day’s event searched frantically for a suitable seat for him.

As he settled in the chair beside popular disc jockey, DJ Jimmy Jatt, CDQ and the founder of Celebrity and Fans Relationship Manager (CFRM), Ademola Fawaz, you could tell it was huge relief for him, as he looked to have had a stressful day.

At least, 10 Super Eagles have reportedly fallen ill and may not recover in time, for their first Africa Cup of Nations game against Burundi on June 22, SportingLife reports.

It is understood that the source of the recent cases of illness, may have come from air conditioners in one of the hotels, which emitted virus which has infected the players.

Some of the payers presently down are Ahmed Musa, Shehu Abdullahi, Leon Balogun, Henry Onyekuru and Chidozie Awaziem.

Nigeria rounded off their preparation for the tournament, with a 1-0 defeat to Senegal on Sunday.

After their opening fixture against Burundi, Gernot Rohr’s men will play against Guinea on June 26 and then wrap up their group outings against Madagascar on June 30

American actress and singer, Bella Thorne has tearfully hit back at Whoopi Goldberg who seemingly shamed her over her recentl nude photo scandal.

Last week, Bella Thorne was the victim of a hack on social media where the actress revealed that the hackers had threatened to release her nude photographs so Thorne decided to release the photos on her own accord.

Reacting to the nude photos Whoopi Goldberg and other panelists on her show 'The View' had some pretty controversial views on the matter.

"If you're famous, I don't care how old you are... you don't take nude pictures of yourself. Once you take that picture, it goes into the cloud and it’s available to any hacker who wants it. And if you don't know that in 2019 that this is an issue, I'm sorry. You don't get to do that" Goldberg said.

Thugs beat up Oshiomhole, 14 others in Edo State

Seidu Oshiomhole, the younger brother of the APC National Chairman and former Governor of the state, Adams Oshiomhole was yesterday attacked and beaten up alongside 14 other lawmakers-elect in the state.

The lawmakers were reportedly holding a meeting at an undisclosed location when they were attacked by thugs allegedly hired by the state government. 

According to reports, the meeting was necessitated by the Monday midnight inauguration of nine members of the new parliament and subsequent election of Frank Okiye as speaker. It would be recalled that just nine out of the 24-man Assembly met to elect a speaker in what many have been described as unconstitutional.

The "troubled and lonely" pilot of missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 "deliberately depressurised the cabin" in order to "slowly kill everyone on board", experts claim. ‘

According to the independent group that has worked on the case, captain Zaharie Ahmed Shah deliberately flew to 40,000ft to suffocate passengers. He then crashed the plane into the Indian Ocean, killing all 238 passengers.

The group making these claims is made up of dedicated aviation experts, whose sole mission is to find out what happened to the doomed flight. Some were even called in to help the official search for the plane, which went missing on March 8, 2014.

Hazard was presented to the Real fans at a packed out Santiago Bernabeu after sealing the deal.

Late Ugo Kimati, the student of Geography department, Plateau State University, Bokkos, was laid to rest today in his hometown,  District Pengana Bassa Local Government Area of the state.

He was killed last Sunday by unknown gunmen who invaded the female hostels of the institution last Sunday Read.here

It was gathered that late Kimati was one of those who stormed the female hostel in an attempt to rescue the female students.
