Asari Dokubo, former Niger Delta militant leader, has called on indigines from the South-South and South-East to return home following threats from Coalition of Northern Groups, asking the herdsmen in South-South to also leave the zone.

The former Militant leader stated this while reacting to the comments made by the Coalition of Northern Groups and the Northern Elders Forum, NEF.
Recall that on Wednesday July 17th members of the Northern Elders Forum and the Coalition of the Northern Groups asked Fulani herdsmen to leave the Southern part of Nigeria to the North where their safety can be guaranteed. President Buhari has since asked the herdsmen to ignore the order.

Albert Flick, a 77-year-old murderer released for being too old to be violent, kills another woman

Albert Flick, a 77-year-old murderer released for being too old to be violent, kills another woman

Albert Flick, the murderer released in his late 60s after being deemed too old to be dangerous, struck again by stabbing a woman to death in front of her twin sons 11 times in broad daylight.

Before being released 9 years ago, the 77-year-old murderer had already served more than 25 years in prison for violent crimes against women. The first murder committed by the Army Veteran who had spent 19 years working at a doughnut shop in Westbrook, Maine, occurred 40 years ago after his wife served him with divorce papers.

It was gathered that in January 1979, his wife, 35-year-old Sandra Flick was found stabbed 14 times, but she lived just long enough to tell the neighbor her husband did it. However Flick was released in 2000, 9 years early into his 30 years jail sentence for good behavior according to WCSH. But in 2007, Flick was charged again after violently attacking a woman he was dating. In 2010, after being released yet again, he assaulted another woman and was incarcerated, according to The Washington Post.

He struck again on July 15, 2018, stabbing Kimberly Dobbie, a homeless woman, 11 times in front of her two children.  Flick had met Dobbie while living in Lewiston, Maine and quickly became infatuated with her. Witnesses said he was obsessed with her and would follow her throughout her day, though the feelings were apparently not mutual. He ended up attacking and killing her last summer.  He was found guilty of the murder on Wednesday, and is expected to spend the remainder of his life in prison. Flick's sentencing is scheduled for August 9 and he faces a minimum of 25 years.

CAN gives PFN two weeks to submit report on Biodun Fatoyinbo rape allegation

CAN gives PFN two weeks to submit report on Biodun Fatoyinbo rape allegation

Reverend Samson Ayokunle, the president of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN,says the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has two weeks to submit its report on its investigation with regards to the rape allegation leveled against the senior pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Biodun Fatoyinbo, by Busola Dakolo, wife of singer, Timi Dakolo.

Recall that PFN had constituted a probe panel after the explosive interview Busola granted in which she made the claim on June 28th.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja yesterday July 18th, Reverend Ayokunle told newsmen that rape stands condemned by CAN.

“We have told you without mincing words that we will never support immorality in whatever form, it is alien to the culture of the church, to the teachings of Christ. And there is no pulpit that I know in Nigeria that the members are taught immorality, but we will not condemn until we have reasons to condemn, let the panel come out with the result let’s know what the truth is. I told you in the press release we issued that we have given the right to Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) because we don’t deal with individual churches, we deal with blocs.
We have directed PFN, an arm of a bloc, which is also large enough to investigate that matter. I am telling you under God that PFN has set up that panel and that panel had been given two weeks within which to submit its report. Not only that, the two individuals involved have been invited by the committee and we are assuring them that nothing will be covered.” he said
