Ministerial Screening: APC, PDP Senators Clash Over Schedule Of Duty - Politics -

Some Senators of the APC and the minority leader clashed on Thursday during the screening of Mustapha Baba Shehuri (Borno) who was a minister of state for power.

Shehuri was the minister of state for power in President Muhammadu Buhari’s first tenure.

The trouble started when the minority leader Enyinnaya Abaribe (PDP, Abia) extolled the virtues of Shehuri, stressing that there was peace in the ministry of power.

He said the clash in other ministries was as a result of unclear schedule of duty, urging the president to address it.

At this point, the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, interjected, saying there was no clash in the petroleum ministry. He said the president was the minister of petroleum.

Raising a point of order, Sen Danjuma Goje (APC, Gombe) faulted Abaribe’s claim. Goje, a minister of state under President Olusegun Obasanjo tenure said, “You don’t need to tell us what to do”

Mohammed Salah, Egyptian and Liverpool football star,is the richest African celebrity on IG and occupies spot 26 at the global level.

Davido is one of the active Nigerian celebrities on Instagram and he makes use of the social media platform to share information about his career and life.

The “Wonder Woman” crooner, called OBO by fans, has 11.8 million followers on IG as at Thursday July 25, with each of his posts valued at 74,000 dollars, approximately 26 million naira.

Evangelist Juanita Bynum says Pastor John Moore entered her hotel room without consent and saw her undergarments (video)

Evangelist Juanita Bynum recently went on Facebook to explain to her fans and followers why she refused to speak at The Experience Church in Chesapeake, Virginia.

According to Juanita Bynum, she refused to perform because popular pastor of  The Experience Church, Pastor John Moore entered her hotel room uninvited and saw her underwear.

In a video posted on Facebook Live, Dr. Bynum said that Moore, who was hosting her at a conference in that city, entered her hotel room without her knowledge or consent and "saw her under garments laid out on her bed." She said she felt sexually violated by his behavior.

Juanita Bynum said she was not in the room at the time he entered but was later informed of the incident by her assistant and was confirmed by the front desk.

In the video captioned: "WHY I DIDN’T PREACH IN CHESAPEAKE, VA AT THE Experience Church WITH PASTOR JOHN MOORE", Bynum claim that she was horrified at the invasion of privacy so she abruptly canceled the engagement.

Nigeria now 33rd in the world after moving 12 spots on FIFA ranking

Nigeria have made progress in the latest FIFA Ranking after moving 12 places up in the world.

In the latest ranking published by FIFA on Thursday, Nigeria climbed to 33rd in the world from 45th in the June 2019 ranking and also maintained its 3rd position in the continent.

The Super Eagles who finished third at the AFCON 2019 in Egypt, behind Senegal and Algeria moved from its June points of 1433 to 1481.

Algeria who are African champions moved 28 places to 40th in the world and climbed from 12th in Africa to fourth place.

AFCON silver medal winners, Senegal, moved two spots up from 22nd to 20th and also maintained their number one spot in the continent. They are still the highest-ranked African country in the world – 20th spot.

On the global ranking, Belgium maintained its number one spot in the world with 1746 points, followed by Brazil who have now displaced France to take the second spot.

In one of the photos, the 40-year-old actor who welcomed the child with his wife Samantha Lee Gibson in October 2018, was pictured posing with her.

'You fight because you have to, I fight when I want to' - Floyd Mayweather brutally replies Manny Pacquiao's rematch demand

Floyd Mayweather has hit back at Manny Pacquiao after his demand for a rematch.  

Pacquiao inflicted a first defeat on Keith Thurman last weekend to enhance his legacy at the age of 40 and his victory immediately led to calls for a second fight with Mayweather, four years after the American comfortably outpointed his long-time rival.  

Pacquiao himself called out the retired fighter, before Mayweather responded with a lengthy Instagram post that reads;

"I find it real ironic how every time Pacquiao's name is brought up in the media, my name is always attached to it. This man's entire legacy and career has been built off its association with my name and it's about time you all stop using my brand for clout chasing and clickbait and let that man's name hold weight of its own".

In another post, Mayweather wrote, 'Let's stick to the facts! Bob Arum is no longer your promoter, so when it comes to @mayweatherpromotions & PBC events I’m the HNIC!  Bottom line, I make more money than you; I beat you, then I signed you!
