Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials in Chennai, India, on Wednesday arrested a
Nigerian national after he couriered a parcel containing 200 grams of methamphetamine to a person in Doha, Qatar.

The suspect, identified as Glen Thomas, 38, concealed the drug in sachets inside the parts of a motorised cycle and couriered it.

During questioning, Thomas told NCB officials that he had received the consignment from another Nigerian in Delhi.

While verifying the documents, the officials found that he had stayed in a rented room with his friend, also a Nigerian, in Medavakkam here. The friend was overstaying here after the expiry of his visa.

Thomas worked as a ‘facilitator’ for patients coming from abroad for treatment in hospitals in Chennai.
