Oshoala Can Win UEFA Women’s Champions League On Saturday – Ebi


Barcelona Femeni of Spain attacker, Asisat Oshoala has been tipped to play a key role in helping her club make history by winning this year’s UEFA Women’s Champions League on Saturday.

It is the first time Barca have the opportunity of playing in the elite clubs’ match with Oshoala, who is on loan dfrom Dalian Quanjian of China, in the midst of the pack, but her national team captain, Onome Ebi says it is victory all the way.

Ebi, who plies her trade with Henan Huishang of China, noted that her national team pal has pulled off some massive efforts since arriving in Catalania in January, and the Super Falcons’ captain stressed that the one they fondly call ‘SuperDee’ has all it takes to be a champion.

Oshoala has scored seven goals in six Liga Iberdrola games for the club, with which Ebi is now wishing her the best of luck during Saturday’s final in Budapest, Hungary against Olympique Lyon of France.

The 24-year-old three-time former African Women Player of the Year, who helped Barca to overcome Bayern Munich of Germany in the semi-final to reach the final for their first time, is chasiong history of her own.



After becoming the first Falcons’ star to qualify for the European elite women’s clubs’ competition’s final, she will now aim to be the first Nigerian to lift the trophy come on Saturday.

Ebi took to social media to reveal her thoughts, stating: “Good luck to our very own Asisat Oshoala. Champions League final, it’s not easy o.

“The highest stage in women’s football, after the World Cup. Proud of you girrl. Go and shine. The Lord is your srtrenght.”
